The Brooding phase is over. Now the real work begins
This morning, my birds officially graduated from the brooding room after two weeks of care and attention.
The brooding phase is one of the most delicate periods in poultry production. Every farmer knows the sleepless nights, constant monitoring, temperature checks, and daily observations that come with raising young chicks.
Now they have moved into a bigger space, and while they have more room to grow, it also comes with bigger responsibilities. Good ventilation, clean water, quality feed, and proper litter management become even more important at this stage.
One thing poultry farming has taught me is that growth doesn't happen by chance. It is the result of consistent daily management, even when nobody is watching.
As these birds begin the next phase of their journey, I am reminded that every healthy flock starts with patience, commitment, and attention to detail.
To my fellow farmers, what is the biggest challenge you usually face after moving birds out of the brooder?
No enough wood shavings? Do this during the rainy season

Blessed and fruitful day it will be
As the sun rises on a new day, may our birds remain healthy, our feed go further, and our farms continue to grow stronger. Every day in poultry farming brings new challenges, but it also brings new opportunities to learn, improve, and succeed.
Remember to check your birds early, ensure they have clean water, quality feed, and a comfortable environment. Small daily actions often make the biggest difference in farm performance.
Wishing you a productive day, low mortality, good weight gain, and profitable sales ahead. May all our hard work yield abundant rewards.
Have a blessed and successful farming day!
