The Tormod Bakke Education Support Fund provides timely educational support to children who are currently in school but are at risk of dropping out due to financial hardship.

For the 2026/2027 academic cycle, 10 learners will receive ₦100,000 each to support essential educational needs.

Eligible learners must:
• Be between 8-15 years old
• Be currently enrolled and attending school
• Be at risk of dropping out due to financial hardship

Every child deserves the opportunity to stay in school and continue learning. But for some children, financial hardship can put that opportunity at risk.

The Tormod Bakke Education Support Fund was created to provide timely educational support to children who are currently enrolled in school but facing challenges that may force them to drop out.

For the 2026/2027 academic cycle, 10 learners will receive ₦100,000 each to support essential educational needs and help them remain in school.

Eligible learners must:
Be between 8-15 years old.
Be currently enrolled and attending school.
Be at risk of dropping out due to financial challenges.

Support may go towards school fees, learning materials, examination fees, uniforms, and other essential educational needs.

OneAfricanChild is seeking passionate and committed volunteers who are interested in supporting education, youth development, community engagement, and social impact initiatives. On Saturday, 20th June 2026, we joined the MTN Anti-Substance Abuse Programme (ASAP) Advocacy Walk, and it was an amazing experience for the OneAfricanChild team. Alongside other passionate organizations and volunteers, we took to the streets of Bariga and its environs to educate community members about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of making healthy choices.

It was encouraging to see people listen, ask questions, and engage with the message. We believe that awareness is a powerful tool for prevention, and we are proud to have contributed our voice to this important cause.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between OneAfricanChild and Million Coders, opening doors for young people to access fully sponsored tech education and global opportunities.

This program gives selected learners access to: free tech courses, hackathons and tech events, internship and career pathways, and lots more!

This is a self-paced program, so participants must be ready to commit time and take their learning seriously.
