We were able to add to the lives of some kids and their parents this July which will always be an advantage to us and our community as a whole. Congratulations to the parents and students and mentors who participated in the 2026 Bariety Academy annual creativity program. Thanks to our sponsors, we were able to make art and progress with our music recording sessions, we learnt some life skills like “cleanliness is next to godliness” and also, some not too distant history about Nigeria. What I ultimately learnt from this is how to be a better teacher. Sometime I find myself within the lines of bias, but end up being reminded to stay in my line. In December, the kids will be part of our annual The Bariety Boutique Club exhibition and we look forward to showcasing all our hard work and talents to the world. Have a blessed Sunday. 👌🏾

Shout out to our resident DJ who teaches the students of our academy how to do it too. Fun fact: He can’t dance to save his live but he knows how to make your feet move.

Our Leisure Therapy program has begun. Last time, we taught the kids how to DJ. They learnt skills like cueing a song, transition and most importantly, song selection. Even though it may look fun, the kids have learnt that nothing in life is easy and everything takes time and dedication. Hopefully we see them use these skills in the future for fun or professionally. Today, we are teaching the kids the importance of cleaning. We try to make them understand it is a daily ritual in life and not a task of punishment. Looking forward to seeing a cleaner future with them in charge.

Thank you to one of our dear supporters for contributing this microphone isolation shield to the music arm our academy. We’ve been working on some jams and can’t wait to share when ready.

This July, students and teachers of the bariety academy will be learning and teaching each other in a different wholesome and holistic environments. Come as a family or as a group or come by yourself. Hang out with us and learn new random life skills or brush up on your old ones in a chill, fun and exciting way.
