OFFICIAL PUBLIC APPEAL FOR SUPPORT TOWARD
GUINNESS WORLD RECORD DANCE MARATHON ATTEMPT
My name is Eweh John Wobi, a Nigerian dancer and content creator, and I am set to attempt a Guinness World Record (GWR) Dance Marathon from 2nd – 7th February, 2026, at 402 Road, A Close, Festac Town, Lagos State.
This historic attempt is driven by a simple but powerful vision: to inspire Nigerians and people across the world that greatness can be achieved through discipline, consistency, and hard work—without crime, shortcuts, or destructive acts.
While I am a proud indigene of Cross River State, Ogoja Local Government Area, this journey goes beyond state boundaries. It represents Nigeria as a whole, African creativity, and the strength of young people who choose purpose over negativity. It is a global platform to showcase resilience, talent, and positive youth energy.
I respectfully acknowledge the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Executive Governor of Cross River State, and His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Agbe Odey, Deputy Governor of Cross River State—who, like me, hails from Ogoja LGA. Their commitment to youth empowerment gives hope that dreams born at the grassroots can rise to the global stage.
This Guinness World Record attempt is not a personal pursuit alone. It is a collective opportunity—for governments, corporate bodies, organizations, creatives, and well-meaning Nigerians—to support a project that sends a clear message to the world:
Nigerian youths can achieve international recognition through legitimate, positive, and disciplined efforts.
Guinness World Records maintains strict requirements involving documentation, technical setup, welfare, verification, and logistics. Meeting these standards requires broad-based support and partnership, which is why this appeal is extended to:
Government institutions
Corporate brands and sponsors
Media organizations
Youth groups and creative communities
The general public at home and in the diaspora
My journey is founded on values of discipline, integrity, and service, qualities formally recognized during my NYSC year through an official commendation for good conduct and dedication. These same principles guide this record attempt.
Beyond breaking a record, this initiative aims to motivate youths across Nigeria and Africa, proving that with focus and persistence, one can rise from local beginnings to global relevance—without engaging in social vices or crime.
I humbly call on everyone who believes in positive youth representation, national pride, and global excellence to lend their support and encouragement. Together, we can turn this attempt into a shared national achievement.
Thank you for believing in Nigerian dreams and supporting positive stories that inspire generations.

OFFICIAL APPEAL TO THE CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT
FOR SUPPORT TOWARD A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu
Executive Governor, Cross River State
And
His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Agbe Odey
Deputy Governor, Cross River State
Subject: Appeal for Government Support Toward My Guinness World Record Dance Marathon Attempt
Your Excellencies,
My name is Eweh John Wobi, a dancer and a content creator. I respectfully write to appeal to the Government of Cross River State for support toward my Guinness World Record (GWR) dance marathon attempt, scheduled to take place from 2nd – 7th February, 2026, at 402 Road, A Close, Festac Town, Lagos State.
I am a proud indigene of Cross River State, from Ogoja Local Government Area, the same Local Government as His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Agbe Odey. This shared origin strengthens my confidence in appealing to the state leadership for support, as this attempt is driven by a deep desire to bring honor, pride, and global recognition to our people and our land.
This Guinness World Record attempt is not merely a personal ambition; it is a platform to project Cross River State positively on the global stage. Guinness World Records maintains strict requirements covering documentation, logistics, technical standards, verification processes, and crew welfare. Meeting these requirements demands institutional backing, which I humbly seek from the Cross River State Government.
My journey is built on discipline, resilience, and service—qualities formally recognized during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year through an official commendation for good conduct and dedication. These values are the same principles guiding this record attempt.
Beyond the record itself, this initiative is intended to inspire youths across Cross River State and Nigeria, showing clearly that great heights can be achieved through positive effort, discipline, and hard work—without engaging in social vices, crime, or destructive acts. It stands as a message of hope that young people can channel their energy into meaningful pursuits and attain global recognition legitimately.
With the support and partnership of the Cross River State Government and the Office of the Deputy Governor, this attempt can be fully compliant with Guinness World Records’ requirements and successfully recognized. Upon achievement, this feat will draw positive international media attention and bring lasting pride to Cross River State, Ogoja Local Government, and Nigeria at large.
I humbly request Your Excellencies’ support to help me meet these requirements and make this historic achievement a reality for the glory of our state.
Thank you for your leadership, commitment to youth empowerment, and dedication to the progress of Cross River State.
Yours faithfully,
Eweh John Wobi,
Proud Son of Cross River State
Ogoja Local Government Area,
Odajie-Mbube.
