WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOUR 2026
Today, on the World Day Against Child Labour, AID FOR SAHEL CHILDREN FOUNDATION joins the global community in raising a strong voice against every form of child labour, exploitation, abuse, and the denial of childhood.
A child belongs in the classroom, not in the marketplace. A child deserves books, not burdens. A child should carry dreams, not the weight of survival.
Every child forced into labour is a future interrupted. Every hour stolen from a child's education is a setback to national development. When children are deprived of their right to learn, play, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment, society pays the price for generations to come.
As we mark this important day, we call on governments, communities, parents, civil society organisations, development partners, and all well-meaning individuals to unite in protecting our children from exploitation and ensuring their access to quality education, safety, dignity, and opportunity.
No child should work for a future that society has a duty to provide.
Stop Child Labour. Protect Childhood. Defend Education. Secure the Future.
A nation that protects its children protects its destiny.
