As we commemorate this important day, let us remain hopeful and committed to building a peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria.

Every child deserves a childhood filled with learning, play, protection, and opportunity, not labour.

On this World Day Against Child Labour, we stand in solidarity with millions of children whose rights, education, and well-being are threatened by child labour. Let us work towards a future where every child is safe, in school, and able to reach their full potential.

In response to the recent cholera outbreak in Benisheikh, Kaga LGA, CARE Initiative and CENSCOPE Consortium partners visited the community to engage local leaders and coordinate an emergency response.

Following consultations with the Bulama and community stakeholders, approval was secured for a cholera awareness campaign and the distribution of WASH NFI/Hygiene Kits to 200 vulnerable households, including cholera-affected families, persons with disabilities, female-headed households, and the elderly.

We also joined partners in a community-wide cholera prevention campaign and reaffirmed our commitment to ongoing sanitation and awareness activities aimed at reducing the spread of the disease and protecting vulnerable communities.

Food safety is everyone’s responsibility.

On this World Food Safety Day, CARE Initiative joins the global call to promote safe food handling, preparation, and consumption practices that protect lives and prevent foodborne diseases.

Safe food is essential for good health, nutrition, and thriving communities.

On this World Environment Day, we are reminded that a healthy environment is essential for healthy communities.

At CARE Initiative, we remain committed to promoting sustainable practices that protect our environment and secure a better future for generations to come.

Every child has the right to safety, protection, and a future free from fear.

Today, we remember the many children who have been abducted and remain missing across states in Nigeria, separated from their families, communities, and dreams. Behind every statistic is a child whose life has been disrupted and a family still waiting for answers.

We call for urgent and coordinated action to secure the safe return of all abducted children, strengthen child protection systems, and hold perpetrators accountable. No child should be denied their right to education, safety, and dignity because of conflict and insecurity.

The time to act is now. Every missing child matters.
