Yamal Set For Another FC Barcelona Pay Rise

Lamine Yamal could be in line for a major salary increase at Barcelona after his remarkable rise this season, according to MARCA.

The 19-year-old is already believed to be Barcelona’s highest-paid player, earning close to €20 million net when his fixed salary and variables are combined.

His 2025 contract renewal reportedly included a provision for another salary increase after two years, based on his performances. Yamal has more than justified that clause, becoming one of Hansi Flick’s most important players and one of football’s biggest stars.

However, Barcelona cannot activate the increase immediately because of their current financial restrictions. The club’s Sports Staff Cost Limit is reportedly around €582 million, with the salary bill already close to that figure.

Barcelona reportedly expect the limit to rise toward €636 million, which could give the club room to honour Yamal’s promised increase while continuing work on other renewals.

The bigger picture: Yamal’s rapid rise is now being reflected not only on the pitch, but also in his status within Barcelona’s wage structure.
