“Don't just learn Ready-to-Wear.
Become capable of running it.”

22/08/2026

WHAT IF YOU ACTUALLY DID IT?
What if...

instead of spending another year saying:

“I want to start Ready-to-Wear...”

you actually launched your first collection?

What if you went from:

“I don't know where to start.”

to:

“I know what I'm selling.”

From:

“I don't know who will buy.”

to:

“I know who I'm creating for.”

From:

“What sizes should I make?”

to:

“I have a sizing system.”

From:

“How many should I produce?”

to:

“I have a production strategy.”

From:

“How much should I charge?”

to:

“I understand my numbers and my price.”

From:

“I don't have enough followers.”

to:

“I know how to create visibility and reach my market.”

From:

“I don't know how to sell.”

to:

“I can make an offer and ask for the sale.”

And eventually...

“I LAUNCHED.”

That's the transformation I'm interested in.

Not:

“I watched some videos.”

Not:

“I attended a training.”

Not:

“I received a certificate.”

But:

“I took what I learnt and built something.”

I've seen this happen with my students.

I remember Hawa, my Sierra Leonean student.

She didn't just take the training and say:

“Thank you, ma.”

She decided:

“I'm going to launch.”

We worked together on her collection.

We worked through her launch plan.

And then she went on to create a major launch in Sierra Leone.

There was a billboard.

A street was closed for the event.

Dignitaries were invited.

And she launched her collection.

Honestly?

I was amazed.

Because sometimes as a teacher, you're pouring information into people and wondering:

“Are they really getting this?”

Then they go out and DO something that even surprises you.

That's transformation.

And another student had studied fashion formally at a polytechnic.

Yet she told me something that stayed with me:

She said she didn't really understand how to run a fashion business until after taking my course.

That meant a lot to me.

Because it reminded me that:
Knowing fashion is not automatically the same as knowing fashion BUSINESS.

She went on to launch her brand in Port Harcourt and later featured at a fashion event in Europe.

And then I think about my own journey.

I didn't start out thinking:

“I'm going to become a fashion entrepreneur.”

I was a teenager on a university campus.

I wanted beautiful clothes.

My family couldn't afford to buy everything I wanted.

So I taught myself to sew.

People started admiring what I wore.

They started asking me to make clothes for them.

And that's how the journey began.

But years later...

I became tired.

Bespoke had become frustrating.

Customers negotiated.

Customers complained.

I worried about whether I was charging enough.

I was working hard...

but the business wasn't giving me the sustainability I wanted.

Then I discovered something that changed my thinking:

The problem wasn't necessarily the business.

The way I was running it needed to change.

That realisation changed me.

And eventually it led me deeper into Ready-to-Wear.

But Ready-to-Wear brought another question:

“WHAT IF I MAKE THE CLOTHES AND NOBODY BUYS?”

That's the question we've been confronting throughout this campaign.

And I've learnt that the answer isn't to avoid the business.

The answer is to learn how to build it strategically.

Know your customer.

Choose your product.

Plan your sizing.

Control your inventory risk.

Price profitably.

Create visibility.

Make offers.

Follow up.

Learn from the market.

Repeat.

That's what I want for you.

Not simply more knowledge.

CAPACITY.

The capacity to make decisions.

The capacity to take action.

The capacity to launch.

The capacity to market.

The capacity to sell.

The capacity to learn.

The capacity to build.

Because I believe something very strongly:

You can start where you are with what you have.

You don't need the biggest shop.

You don't need the most expensive machines.

You don't need thousands of followers.

You don't need to know everything.

You don't even have to do all the sewing yourself.

You need a vision.

A strategy.

A willingness to learn.

And the courage to act.

So let me ask you something today.

WHAT WOULD CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU ACTUALLY LAUNCHED YOUR READY-TO-WEAR BUSINESS?

Would it give you another income stream?

Would it give you more freedom?
Would it allow you to move beyond trading all your time for money?

Would it give you the confidence to build something bigger?

Would it be the beginning of the business you've been dreaming about?

👇 Finish this sentence:

“If I successfully launch my Ready-to-Wear business, I would __________.”

I want to hear your answer.

“Transformation happens when knowledge becomes action.”

“You don't need to know everything before you begin.
You need to begin learning how to build.”

THE WORD FOR TODAY

" THREE LEVELS OF ATTACK (2)"

Then the devil…set Him on the pinnacle...’ Matthew 4:5 NKJV

THE ATTACK on the pinnacle. Let’s look at the second temptation Jesus faced: ‘Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, [and] set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.’ Here you deal with the fear of failure. Satan will whisper, ‘You’re on the pinnacle of success now, but you could easily fall off.’ He will bring up your past failures. He will remind you of leaders who crashed and burned. He will say, ‘If people realised how little you really know, or the issues you’re struggling with, they wouldn’t respect you.’ There are two kinds of fear: healthy fear and unhealthy fear. Healthy fear will keep you dependent on God; it will protect you from pride and self-sufficiency. ‘Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall’ (1 Corinthians 10:12 NKJV). But there’s an unhealthy fear that will keep you in the boat when Jesus is calling to you to step out and walk with Him on the water. You say, ‘But Peter almost drowned.’ Yes, but he was the only one of the disciples who experienced the joy of walking on the water! Having faith doesn’t mean you won’t experience a sinking feeling at times. You have a choice. You can give in to fear, or trust the God who has called you, sustained you, and never failed to give you the strength needed to cope with whatever you face. If your own intellect or talents are the basis of your confidence, you have good reason to fear. But if God is the basis of your confidence, you have nothing to fear.
