Meet Alexander Garuba at PHPConnect’26

We’re excited to have Alexander Garuba, a Senior Backend Engineer, joining us at PHPConnect’26.

Alexander has spent over 7 years building the systems behind products people rely on across fintech, e-commerce, and SaaS, working with PHP, microservices, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.

At Ladda, he helped build core financial products including Savings, Wallets, Treasury Bills, KYC, and Virtual Accounts, improving processing efficiency by 30% and helping his team ship 50% faster.

He’s also worked on systems serving 100,000+ users, led major PHP migrations, and collaborated on projects like about.nike.com.

At PHPConnect’26, we’ll be hearing from Alexander about the realities of building software that has to work at scale.

Shane has been building with Laravel since 2013, and his work has always pushed beyond the traditional boundaries of PHP.
