The Sacrifice of a Soldier

Imagine the pain they pass through…
Leaving behind their families, children, wives and loved ones, all to serve and protect the nation

It is a sacrifice many people may never fully understand

A wounded Nigerian soldier once wrote these touching words

“For the love of the country… we count it all joy
I have no regret
It is an honor to sacrifice for my country
God bless the Nigerian Military"

These brave men of the Nigerian Armed Forces r!sk their lives daily so that millions of Nigerians can live in peace and safety

Their courage, dedication and willingness to stand in the face of d@nger remind us that freedom and security do not come without sacrifice

May God continue to protect and strengthen every member of the Nigerian mi|itary who serves the nation with honor

A disturbing case of chi|d abvse involving a little girl named Edidiong, said to be under seven (7) years old

According to reports, a Pastor's wife identified as Mrs. Unyime Bassey, who lives at No. 8 Stream Road, Atimbo, allegedly b£at the child severely

This young girl Edidiong, is said to be working as a nanny for Mrs. Bassey’s youngest child, Blessing, who is reportedly the same age as her

Neighbours claim the little girl is often pun!shed for very minor mistakes and regularly b£aten

The latest incident rep0rtedly happened after she was accused of taking meat from the family p0t of soup

Sh0ckingly, some neighbours even described this recent b£ating as “mi|d” compared to what the child had allegedly suffered before

What has made the situation more troub|ing is that all the other children in the house attend school, while Edidiong does not

Imagine that Mrs. Bassey and her husband are said to be pastors

The matter has rep0rtedly been rep0rted to the Nigeria P0lice Force, Airport Division in Calabar, while human rights groups such as Basic Rights Council are being called upon to step in and ensure the chi|d gets just!ce
