🚨 WALOJE IS CALLING — ACT BEFORE DISASTER

What happens when development brings better roads to a city—but sends more water toward people's homes?

For the people of Waloje, Yola South, this is no longer a hypothetical question.

The expanding drainage channel beside Wuro Hausa Police Station** is becoming a serious threat to homes, properties and the safety of residents.

Road after road is being constructed across Yola. But as more water is channelled toward Waloje, the existing channel is struggling to cope.

The water is expanding. Properties are being destroyed. Families are becoming increasingly vulnerable.

And with ongoing road and drainage construction around the Yola markets, the concern is that even more water could be directed through Waloje.

This is why we are appealing to His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the “Governor of Talakawa” and architect of modern Adamawa, as well as the relevant ministries, engineers and authorities:

Please act before Waloje becomes a disaster headline.

Waloje is not against development.

Waloje wants development that protects its people.

We are calling for an urgent engineering assessment, a properly designed and durable drainage channel, and immediate flood and erosion-control measures.

A road is not truly a symbol of development if the water from that road destroys the homes of the people around it.

Build the roads.
Build the drainage.
Protect the people.

📢 WATCH. SHARE. TAG THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES.

Let this warning be heard before the next disaster—not after it.

Your Excellency hear Waloje's plea.

Your Excellency hear Waloje's plea.
