TERRA FEST is een avond waarop we nieuwsgierige geesten uitnodigen om mee te denken en te bouwen aan de wereld van morgen. De dynamiek zit in de verschillende netwerken en werkgebieden die samenkomen. Wat ons verbindt, is een gemeenschappelijk doel en een gedeelde ambitie.
Ondernemers, ontwerpers, uitvinders, onderzoekers & wetenschappers die vanuit hun eigen passie en visie hun bijdrage leveren. Gesprekken, korte talks, een panelgesprek, muziek, lekker eten en drinken.
Op ons erf in Amsterdam Noord zitten we met een clubje bedrijven die allemaal, ieder op hun eigen manier, zijn opgezet met het oog op een groener leven en een mooiere toekomst. Op het eerste gezicht lijken het losse duurzame initiatieven, maar achter elk bedrijf schuilt een fundamenteel idee over de wereld waarin we willen leven.
Wikkelhouse ontwikkelt en bouwt modulaire huisjes met een zo klein mogelijke ecologische voetafdruk. Het laat zien dat het ook eenvoudiger, slimmer en duurzamer kan.
Groundfridge is een moderne versie van de ouderwetse kelder: een ondergrondse koele opslag die gebruikmaakt van de natuurlijke temperatuur van de aarde. Zo blijft voedsel koel zonder energieverbruik.
Cabiner verhuurt off-grid cabins midden in de natuur waar je alleen wandelend naartoe kunt. Het brengt mensen weer dichter bij de natuur en laat ervaren hoe fijn eenvoud kan zijn.
Fiction Factory ontwerpt en bouwt bijzondere interieurs en tentoonstellingen voor merken over de hele wereld. Naast de projecten ontwikkelen ze duurzame manieren van bouwen en hergebruik. In de kantine wordt dagelijks vegetarisch en biologisch gekookt voor iedereen binnen onze bedrijven.

Our Murphybed is standard in our Bear, but also possible to add in a normal Wikkelhouse, against the wall of your bathroom or bedroom. Multi functional design for a not so tiny house: With only 40 cm wall you expand your home with a desk, a double sleeper, and closets on top and in the side.
Our sister companies in Chile and Switzerland are wonderfully independent-minded. And that’s exactly why we love them.
Take transport, for example. In the Netherlands we move our segments the tidy way: four at a time, on our trusty Oeplegger. Switzerland, on the other hand, likes to pull off a stunt every now and then. This week they simply closed off a few tunnels and highways to transport an entire Wikkelhouse over the road for the very first time ever! At 4.6m wide, she needs just a little more room than your average tiny house… And in winter? They just bring in the helicopter.
Chile, meanwhile, transports its segments lying down comfortably through some seriously stunning mountain landscapes. Sometimes needing a bit more horsepower (or length) to make it up that final stretch of mountain, but hey, that’s the price of a view like that.
Here in our flat little country, we never could’ve dreamed this up. We’ll stick to our Oeplegger and the occasional boat. But secretly we’re a tiny bit jealous of these bold operations ;)
