Jolanda van Eijk the creator of EIJK, put together a team of experienced Italian craftsmen from the Marche region of Italy. Together they carefully manufacture her ideal shoe, resulting in a sustainable collection made with passion, from the first sketch to the final model, in high-quality leather. The durability and the environment are 2 important factors for EIJK. Therefore the shoes are made in high-quality leather, with comfort and softness for your feet. The materials are selected with great care to make durable shoes, to carry you all day long. We are always looking for the best options with a great love for vegetable tanned leather and biodegradable materials to make the highly whished vegan shoe. You can find, heeled pumps, ankle boots, high boots also some cool and comfortable flat shoes. EIJK is created for confident women with a distinctive style, who love an elegant look.

Rain has a way of sharpening a city.

I don’t believe a shoe becomes elegant simply because more is added to it.
Elegance is not decoration.
It is the result of balance, proportion and thoughtful design.
The angle of the heel.

The position of the foot.

When those elements are right, a shoe doesn’t need to shout for attention.
It simply feels right — both to look at and to wear.
That quiet balance is at the heart of every EIJK design.

Before an EIJK shoe has a colour, a material or a name, it has a last.
The last is the form around which the shoe is constructed. It determines how the shoe fits, where the foot is supported and how the entire silhouette feels.
That is why I never begin a design with decoration or a passing trend.
I begin with the foot.
Only when the last, heel, balance and posture work together does the visual design begin.
Comfort is not something that can simply be added afterwards. It has to be present in the construction from the very beginning.

The EIJK model that almost didn’t exist.
RYAN was not part of my first collection plan.
I added her after a conversation with a sales agent who believed the collection needed a simple, versatile zip ankle boot.
He was right.
RYAN became the EIJK model women returned to for a second pair — and sometimes in several more colours.
Perhaps because she doesn’t demand a complicated styling decision.
Under trousers, a dress, a skirt, bermudas or a jort: she simply works.
An understated ankle boot for the first days of September — and all the seasons that follow.
One shoe. A whole day.
Yesterday I wore the MIMI ballerinas from the first ride of the day to an afternoon drink, and the final groceries.
Not because I had planned to “test” them.
Simply because this is exactly how I believe an elegant shoe should work: you put it on, live your day and never have to think about changing your shoes.
MIMI is pointed, feminine and refined — with the comfort to keep moving.
Designed to wear, not only to look at.
Some shoes simply belong to summer.
Bare legs. Sun-warmed skin. A dress, wide trousers, something thrown on without thinking too much about it.
SAMMY was designed for exactly those days.
A sandal with height and elegance, but built with the foot in mind — because a beautiful summer day shouldn’t end because your feet have had enough.

Niet omdat het oude paar uit de mode was.
Maar omdat ze haar RUBY-sandalen negen à tien jaar lang heeft gedragen — en ze simpelweg weer wilde hebben.
Een ontwerp van Nederlandse bodem, met de hand gemaakt in Italië.
Als iemand na al die jaren opnieuw voor hetzelfde paar kiest, zegt dat eigenlijk alles.
