Rubin's Galaxy ✨🌌✨
This is the spiral galaxy UGC 2885, also known as "Rubin's Galaxy" or the "Godzilla galaxy".
⚡ Location: It is located roughly 232 million light-years away in the constellation Perseus.
⚡ Size: This galaxy is immense, measuring 2.5 times wider than our own Milky Way and containing roughly 1 trillion stars.
⚡ Bright Star: The prominent, spike-covered star on the left is actually a foreground star located within our own Milky Way galaxy, photobombing the view of the distant UGC 2885.
