We are proud to officially introduce The Initiative Magazine - to make neuroscience more accessible for everybody.

Launched during the World Parkinson Congress in Phoenix, Arizona, The Initiative is an independent, non-profit international publication dedicated to in-depth reporting on neurodegenerative diseases, brain health and medical research. Founded by Kai Fridstrøm, who himself lives with Parkinson’s disease.

Our ambition is to help make complex science and medical research more accessible to people affected by neurodegenerative diseases and the wider public through long-form journalism, interviews and research-based reporting.
We are incredibly grateful for the response so far from people living with Parkinson’s, families, clinicians, researchers and readers from around the world.

We are also thankful for the encouragement and support the project has received from leading international Parkinson’s and neuroscience environments, several of whom have already shared both the publication and our articles through their own professional networks and social media channels.
This is only the beginning.

Lansering av "The Initiative": Kai og Jo Martin Fridstrøm står bak onlinemagasinet «The Initiative», som nylig ble lansert under World Parkinson Congress (WPC).

I magasinet skrives det om forskning innen Parkinsons sykdom på en populærvitenskapelig måte.

- Norges Parkinsonforbund er både stolt og ydmyk over å få samarbeide med Kai og Jo Martin Fridstrøm i dette spennende prosjektet, sier generalsekretær Kristin Ruud.
