HelloStavanger

Hello, Hello Stavanger community! Kabal here.
First of all, we want to express how much we love what this network is doing for our favorite town in the world. Thank you all for being here!

For those who do not know us yet, we build the software that powers global energy logistics. Think of it as the ultimate tech puzzle: coordinating the movement of thousands of people, containers, equipment, vessels, trucks, and helicopters for high-stakes oil and gas operations. Kabal makes it all run safer, faster, and cleaner, minimizing operational waste.

Today, over 10,000 companies across 30 countries rely on our tech. As we celebrate 15 years in 2026, we owe every bit of that success to our incredible team. Half of our global crew works out of Stavanger’s finest quayside office at Toldboden. From here, we balance big global impact with a great work culture (and fantastic coffee, please pop in anytime!).

We are always looking to connect with other sharp, ambitious minds who want to solve hard problems and make the world a little better. That is exactly why we are thrilled to partner with and sponsor Hello Stavanger.

Will you be at the October event? Come say hi to The team, we would love to chat, trade ideas, and share a smile with you! You'll find us right by the Kabal-stage!

🎤 17:30–18:30 «From Ballots to Code: Exploring Election Security» med Hallvard Nygård

Ikke kjøpt billett ennå? Løp og kjøp! 🏃‍➡️

Du sov nok godt i dag tidlig.

Bjarte Bogsnes tok frokostmeetupen vår gjennom "An introduction to Beyond Budgeting – Business Agility in practice".

You, at 23:40: 🙃

Bougria opens HelloStavanger 26 with "Message not received"

Twenty years in software and her conclusion is that none of this was ever a tech problem. It's a people problem. And now there's an AI in the middle, politely rewording the misunderstanding for everybody.

55 days to go!! we are looking forward 🤩 🤩

🥐 Tilbake til rutinene.. på tide med påfyll?

Hellostavanger Frokost MeetUp torsdag 08:00, Ostehuset Øst i Stavanger.

New big ideas in software architecture don't come along often.

Residuality Theory is one of them. It models software systems as interconnected residues instead of components and processes. Making uncertainty a fundamental part of the design work itself.

The architect behind this new concept is Barry M. O'Reilly and you can hear him talk about it at HelloStavanger.

Barry has 25 years as an architect, including Chief Architect roles at Microsoft and global lead for their Solutions Architecture community. He's currently finishing a PhD in complexity science and software design.

It's rare that a properly new idea shows up in this field. If you care about architecture and how systems hold up as the world around them changes, this is the talk to be in the room for.
