Sapana Design Project
Every purchase supports local ladies to sustain and run their families. Skilled volunteers are warmly invited to teach and work with us.
We conduct skill trainings for women from the communities that will help them acheive their full potential.
A new creation is in progress!
Beautiful handmade bookmarks, carefully crafted through hand embroidery and hand painting. Every piece is made with love, patience, and attention to detail by the talented women of the Sapana Design Project.
Each bookmark is unique. Bringing together creativity, tradition, and craftsmanship in every stitch and brushstroke.
Aama means Mother in Nepali, and that’s exactly who she has always been to the Sapana Design family.
Her real name is Jamuna Pariyar, but everyone knows her simply as Aama because of the love, care, and guidance she shared with every team member.
After dedicating more than 10 years to Sapana Design, she left over seven years ago due to family responsibilities and health issues. Today, she returned to visit her former workplace. It was truly heartwarming to welcome her back, show her around, and introduce her to the new generation of our team. She was curious about our new products and especially surprised by the banana fiber basket. She kept asking how it is possible to make something like that from a banana stem. Yes, it is possible.
One question she asked touched our hearts:“Can I still make products from home and bring them to Sapana for sale?”
Our answer was simple: Of course, yes. ❤️
This is why Sapana Design exists—to empower women. It doesn’t matter whether you work in our workshop or from your own home. What matters is having the opportunity to create, earn, grow, and continue moving forward together.
Some people may leave the workplace, but they never leave our hearts.

We welcomed some new green friends into our compound through a plantation program organized by the Sapana Design Women’s Group. These young plants symbolize growth, hope and our commitment to a greener future.
With love, care and dedication, we will nurture them as they grow alongside us. Together, we will flourish, creating a healthier and more beautiful environment for generations to come.
We grow together with each other’s love and care.
