One year since September 8. We gathered at Kausi Theatre, Teku, and gave the stories of that moment a stage.

Playback Theatre works like this: someone in the audience tells a story from their own life, and the performers play it back, right there, unrehearsed. Nothing scripted. Nothing smoothed over. Memory, grief, hope spoken aloud and witnessed together.

In collaboration with Katha Ghera (Kausi Theater)

Good people, good ideas and good creative work can take a story a long way.

We’re opening up our creative circle to cinematographers, video editors and graphic designers who want to work on projects that have something to say.

If that sounds like your kind of work, come say hi.

The form takes just 1 minute.

Scan the QR code or you can find the link on our bio.

One year since the September 8 Gen Z protest, we came together to remember, reflect, and revisit the stories that shaped that moment.

In collaboration with Katha Ghera (Kausi Theater) , we brought these stories to the stage through Playback Theatre at Kausi Theatre, Teku creating a space where memories, experiences, and emotions could be shared and reflected back through performance.

A day of stories, voices, and collective memory because some moments deserve to be remembered, not just documented.

September 8. A year has gone by, but the weight of that day hasn’t. So many beautiful souls were taken from us far too soon.

Art and culture have always been a kind of relief medicine in times of grief, giving us ways to feel, remember, share, and heal together.
Through stories, rituals, and remembrance, Gaijatra creates a space where sorrow can be acknowledged and shared.
As a fundraiser, this event carries that spirit forward in creating a shared space to express grief, show solidarity and support one another through art and culture.

What we do to nature, eventually affects us too.

In 2019, 33 young people walked towards Mardi, carrying a message to protect our Himalayas. Along the way, they collected waste and turned it into art—a reflection of our impact on nature.

Seven years later, the 2026 floods remind us again

हामीले प्रकृतिको ख्याल राखौँ,
प्रकृतिले हाम्रो ख्याल राख्छिन्।

In times of crisis, people need help but the risks to their safety can also be higher.

During emergencies such as floods, people may become more vulnerable as they seek shelter, food, healthcare, relief & other essential support. Some people in positions of power or trust might exploit this vulnerability.

It is important for everyone involved in humanitarian response to understand PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).

We are re-sharing this story of Khusbu, which we made a few years ago, as a reminder of the risks vulnerable people can face while seeking essential support.
