Project Chhap is a group of artists and designers who have come together because of their love for Nepali urban culture and arts. Founded in 2015, Chhap creates – or recreates – drawing inspiration from the literature, philosophy, arts and culture of traditional and modern Nepal. The company also collaborates with Nepali artists of other disciplines to create designs that could contribute to redefining the neo-Nepali aesthetic. Currently, the company is working on a collection of tote bags titled “Of Memories” – a series that revisits Nepali pop-cultural and daily-life elements from the past 30 years.
