Record your professional development journey the easy way with PD able
Report * Track * Record

Who's responsible for professional development in your organisation?
The honest answer? Everyone plays a part.
PD able is built around that reality. Whether you're a professional body setting competency standards, an employer tracking your team's growth, an individual managing your own CPD, or an education provider delivering recognised learning. PD able connects all of those roles in one place.
We've just published a blog post walking through exactly how the PD able ecosystem works and why we designed it this way.

If you're involved in professional development at any level, we'd love to know what you think.
Small feature. Big time-saver.
When people record their CPD or professional development activities, one of the most common frustrations is entering the same details again and again.
So in PD able we built a smart search feature.
As you start typing the title of an activity, PD able recognises if someone else has already added it and lets you reuse the record instantly.
Select it… and the details are pre-filled.
All you need to do is add your own completion date, reflection, or certificate.
Simple idea, but it can save a lot of time, especially for teams logging similar training, seminars, or workshops.

A simple idea that saves staff a lot of time when recording their PD.
QR codes for professional development activities.
Create the activity → generate the QR code → staff scan it when they attend.
→ No forms.
→ No manual entry.
→ No chasing people later.
We’ve found it works particularly well for:
• Workshops
• Webinars
• Staff meetings
• Training sessions
I’ve recorded a short video showing how it works in PD able.

When we first built PD able, QR codes felt like a “nice extra”.
Turns out… employers love them.
Why? Because recording PD is one of those tasks that’s easy to delay, and painful to fix later. QR codes flip that completely by letting staff record attendance instantly, while everything’s still top of mind.
It’s simple, practical, and saving PD managers a lot of time.
Check out our story about QR codes here 👇

After decades of building professional development systems the traditional way, we noticed a pattern.
PD was spreading across more industries, but most organisations were still stuck with spreadsheets, shared folders, and last-minute audit stress. Not because people didn’t care... mainly due to bespoke PD systems being too expensive, slow to develop, and out of reach for most.
Then we noticed that around 80% of professional development follows the same core rules. That insight changed everything.
We created PD able
A dynamic platform based on a standardised foundation that lets organisations build their own PD systems, then refine them so they truly fit their profession.
The reaction we hear most:
“Wait… I can do this myself?”
That’s the shift. No build fees. No long projects. No months of uncertainty.

Why small businesses struggle to find the right professional development software.
If you’re a small business looking for professional development software, you’ve probably discovered a frustrating reality.
Search engines make it almost impossible to find the right tools for SME's
And yes... we think that sucks! Over the last week, I ran multiple tests using Google, Perplexity, Copilot, and Grok search tools. I wasn’t looking for an LMS, HRIS, or a generic “no-code” database.
I was looking for something simple:
➡️ A PD system
➡️ Made for small teams
➡️ Easy to set up
➡️ Tracks CPD, goals, learning, and transcripts
➡️ Affordable
➡️ No coding
➡️ No complex implementation
But the results were wildly off the mark.

Just a few years ago, building a professional development (PD) system for your organisation meant months of work, large budgets, and a team of developers.
Today, that’s changed.
With PD able’s world-first wizard tool, you can create your own fully-custom PD system — at no cost — and at your own pace (often in under 5 minutes).
