It’s not every day you get to perform your songs with the magic of a full choir behind you! Head to Hollywood in Dec for a special show with Jubilation Choir and my Queen, Annie Crummer! 👑

GOBSMACKED! Today would’ve been my Dad’s 77th birthday and he would’ve more excited by this news than anyone else on this planet. He used to pop the popcorn every year we would gather round the tiny little TV in the motorhome we toured and lived in as a family band to watch the CMAs. I remember the year Shania broke out and swept the CMAs and suddenly being from a country outside of the States was no longer an obstacle and my Dad turning to me and saying, “That’s gonna be you someday, sweetie!” When I moved my life to the bottom of the world in New Zealand, I thought I was leaving that dream of ever being nominated for a CMA behind me. 20 years later, LOOK AT THIS BLOODY MIRACLE!!! I can’t tell you how proud I am to be representing my chosen home of NZ on the world stage. It’s an honour of a lifetime.

Nashville, this small potato is coming to party with the big fries in November! ♥️😭

Thank you to my team Pippa Brown Lightnin’ Management Outside Music and to my sis kimboshier for throwing the hat in the ring and to Country Music Association for making a girls dream come true 🙏🏼🥹💫

A love song for Dolly Rebecca and all us grieving kids that she raised ♥️🦋 “We’re all sisters, we’re all brothers raised by the same mother.”

20 takes and 2 days later, I finally got through it without crying. (Well, almost. The final line doesn’t count.)

Honestly, I’ve been hesitant to add to the mountain of beautiful tributes I’ve seen and heard. What can I sing that hasn’t already been sung? But at the end of the day, writing songs is how I’ve always processed grief and loss so this little tune of love poured out of me for her and for every one of you who love her too 🪽💫

Rebecca I have always loved you
From the moment I first saw you
Singing on the Opry stage when I was 8 years old
Golden hair jacked up to Jesus singing bout Jolene and Joseph’s coat of many colours and all the love your Mama sewed

And even though we never met you somehow took me by the hand, showed me 9 to 5 and back again, was how to catch a dream
You said go find out who you are
But all I’ve figured out so far’s I wanna be
Like the smoky mountain mama who raised me

We’re all sisters we’re all brothers
Raised by the same mother
She got us singing harmony like the family we are
In 5 inch heels she walked the talk
Found the god light in all of us
We’re her steel magnolias
The smoky mountain mama raised us all

You saw us all as butterflies
Painted rainbows in our skies
Said forgive, but don’t apologize
For being who you are
Didn’t have a child of your own
So you carried us your whole life long
Bedtime stories since we were small
The smoky mountain mama raised us all

Chorus

No, I didn’t grow up down in Tennessee but the smoky mountain mama still raised me

Oh, Canada 🇨🇦♥️ There’s no place like home. It’s been 3 years since my last Canadian summer festival (8 years since I played Vancouver- far too long!) and I can’t begin to express how good it felt to be back with family and friends, old and new 🥹♥️ This day was especially emotional as it was 2 years to the day that Jay had his brain injury and what a way to celebrate his recovery- playing his first full band show to the beautiful audience at the magical Vancouver Folk Music Festival ♥️ This was one for the books and a show I will remember, always. Special thanks to Don McGlashan for joining me on Beyond the Stars repping my NZ whānau and bringing a little taste of my other home to the stage 🇳🇿 ♥️ A joyously jet lagged weekend! Thank you, Vancouver. Let’s do it again, soon! 🙌🏼

HOT DAMN, I’m going on tour with my sister and fully expect to lose my voice from laughing so hard backstage. We’re not gonna have any fun at all. Roll on, October! 🚌 💨

Happy 1 year birthday, Neon Cowgirl 🤠 🎉🎈

One year ago this weekend, I had the craziest 48 hr whirlwind in Nashville. Watching Bob Dylan with Sheryl Crow as she told me stories of working with him. Performing on stage with Willie. Wearing Patsy Cline's ring on the stage of the Opry, singing Three Ci******es in an Ashtray to her daughter Julie in the front row. Greenroom hangs with Crystal Gayle. A visit on Willie's bus to introduce him to my pal and cowriter of "Beyond the Stars", Delaney Davidson. If I didn't have these photos, I'd think I dreamt it all. Ain't she the luckiest cowgirl of all 🥹✨
