Big piece of 60mm UHMWPE whittled down this morning

The 3D printer makes 2nd side operations so much easier!! Second side operations are when you have to reload the part to machine features on the opposite side. Some complex parts have to be set up 4 times!!

Big job on the table this week 👊
A full 1200 x 3000 sheet of 25mm UHMWPE, fully machined and ready to go.

These parts are headed for grain doors — featuring a smaller opening with a rebated slot for a stainless slide. That means more precise grain flow control, while still giving you the option to pull the main door wide open to clear out the last of the silo.

Some Blue UHMWPE, makes a change for the norm

Now this is a chunk of plastic!! 100mm UHMWPE no problem.There was alot of swarf after our 20mm cutter had at it!!

A custom 2 piece 350mm centerline radius die for our good friend at CGS Picton! (They bolt together and will be used in a tube bender for forming stainless tube)

This good sized piece created a lot of swarf!!
