Well... almost.

Despite their appearance, Tuatara aren't actually lizards. They belong to their own ancient order of reptiles called Rhynchocephalia — a lineage that split from lizards and snakes more than 240 million years ago.
Today, the Tuatara is the only surviving member of that entire group, making it one of the world's most remarkable living fossils.
