"No cry babies" Rocket Racing was started by Scott Lane when he first started racing Modified out of Auckland's Waikaraka Park Speedway in 1990.
Since then he and his wife Lanie's two children Brad and Samantha have followed in his footsteps, both starting in the Ministock class then moving up to Modifieds. The team now participate in many forms of speedway from Dirt track go-karts to competitive Modified racing and anything in-between, while having a few beers and meeting some lifelong friends.

The rain is already ruining the fun!
🚨 PRACTICE DAY POSTPONED 🚨
We absolutely hate having to do this, but this is the risk we take trying to run this early in the season.
The track has simply had far too much rain, and with more rain forecast over the coming days, our track guru Red has made the tough call to postpone this Friday’s practice day.
At this stage, our next scheduled practice (Friday 11th September) is still a goer — obviously weather dependant. 🤞
We’ll also work with the team at Huntly Speedway to see if we can squeeze in another practice date, so hopefully we can make up for the lost track time.
Fingers crossed we get some sunshine and can finally get some laps in! 🏁💨
