A Little Generosity Can Leave a Lasting Impact โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

As we prepare for our outreach visit to the children of Kalipay Negrense Foundation this coming June 10, we humbly invite you to be part of this meaningful cause.

Donations of food, clothes, toys, school supplies, or monetary contributions can go a long way in bringing comfort, joy, and hope to the children. No act of kindness is ever too smallโ€”every contribution has the power to make a difference.

If you would like to extend your support, donations may be dropped off at Psychology Laboratory MN 515 or sent through the provided QR code.

This initiative is a collaborative effort of the Psychology Society (PsySoc) and the College of Arts and Sciences Community Initiatives and Engagement Community Extension (CASCIE) Program of STI West Negros University (STIWNU).

Together, let us remind these children that they are seen, valued, and cared for. So be somebody to someone. ๐Ÿซ‚

It officially kicked off last Tuesday at Teodoro Hall, right after the start of CAS Week!

The program officially began with Ms. Pauline Recaido, who warmly welcomed everyone and introduced the newly elected CASCIE officers for A.Y. 2026โ€“2027.

CASCIE officers then gathered with volunteers to introduce the organization, connect with new members, and learn more about our four advocacies: Mental Health Literacy, Environmental Awareness, Civic Action, and Animal Welfare.

Through the inspiring talks of our project leaders, volunteers were encouraged to step out, participate, and become part of meaningful initiatives that create positive change in the community.

A special thank you to all our volunteers who took the time to listen, participate, and show their willingness to serve the community. Your presence and enthusiasm truly made the event more meaningful.

This is only the beginning, so ano tara?, letโ€™s get involved!

The Community Initiatives and Engagement (CASCIE) Program geared up for the opening of CAS Week 2026 earlier today, May 18, at the university student lounge through a booth that promotes not only creativity and entertainment, but also compassion and social responsibility.

With the eventโ€™s theme, โ€œKalinga sa KaliCASan,โ€ the opening program formally commenced with a praise and worship ceremony led by Dr. Glenn T Repique, PhD, RPsy, Program Head of the B.S. Psychology program, filling the venue with faith, gratitude, and a shared sense of unity and togetherness.

More than just a sales-driven activity, CASCIEโ€™s booth carries a meaningful cause as five pesos from every purchased product will be donated to selected foundations in support of communities in need.

Alongside this is a fundraising drive where students and visitors may voluntarily donate coins or cash for the children of Kalipay Negrense Foundation (KNF).

Adding deeper value to the initiative, the rugs being sold were handcrafted by members of the Bacolod Integrated Deaf Association (BIDA), showcasing their talent, creativity, and craftsmanship while supporting their livelihood and promoting inclusivity within the community.

Through this initiative, CASCIE continues to prove that even simple student-led efforts can create meaningful impact which highlights the importance of empathy, active community engagement, and extending support to sectors that deserve to be seen, heard, and empowered.

Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can make a huge difference in someoneโ€™s life. Through this initiative, we hope to remind every child that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

If you would like to extend your help and support to this cause, you can scan the QR code below to donate.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can help bring smiles, meals, and hope.

Letโ€™s help create a brighter future, to be somebody to someone, one at a time.
