Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director of BFP Region V, and under the supervision of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐒 𝐁 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎, 𝐑𝐂, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, personnel of Baleno Fire Station, headed by SFO2 Marcelo A Lagsa II, Officer-in-Charge, conducted a fire safety inspection at an educational establishment within Poblacion, Baleno, Masbate, utilizing a Body-Worn Camera (BWC) to assess compliance with fire safety standards and identify potential fire hazards. The activity aimed to ensure compliance with existing fire safety standards and regulations while providing fire safety guidance to help promote a safe learning environment for students, teachers, and personnel. This initiative further promotes fire prevention awareness and preparedness within educational establishments and the community.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director of BFP Region V, and under the supervision of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐒 𝐁 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎, 𝐑𝐂, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, personnel of Baleno Fire Station, headed by SFO1 Marcelo A Lagsa II, Officer-in-Charge, conducted skills enhancement activity on different methods of fire hose coupling. Personnel practiced the one-person coupling techniques, including the free-hand, between-the-knees, and foot-tilt methods. The activity aims to improve their skills, coordination, and readiness for effective firefighting operations.

Through regular monitoring and inspection, the Baleno Fire Station shows its commitment to fire prevention, regulatory compliance, and protecting life and property in the community.

The activity helps ensure that firefighting and rescue equipment remain clean, serviceable, and ready for use. Regular cleaning and maintenance help keep the equipment in good condition and support safe and effective emergency response.

Marites G. Dela Rosa, Municipal Mayor of Baleno.

The visit served as a gesture of respect and courtesy, as well as an opportunity to formally introduce the newly assigned Officer-in-Charge. Discussions also covered the transition of responsibilities, station concerns, and other matters relevant to the continued coordination and operations of Baleno Fire Station.

The BFP and the Local Government Unit of Baleno continue to uphold strong coordination and partnership in advancing fire protection, prevention, and public safety in the municipality.
