Baler, Aurora — August 13, 2026.

The ASCOT Cybersecurity Alliance–PICSPro Junior earned the Best Advocacy Organization Award for the second time during the Exit Conference held at the Senator Edgardo J. Angara (SEJA) Hall of the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT).

The recognition highlights a year of sustained cybersecurity advocacy, community engagement, and student-led initiatives aimed at promoting digital safety and responsible technology use.

Throughout the academic year, ACA transformed its advocacy into programs that reached beyond the campus. Its accomplishments included Secure Start: Cybersecurity Seminar and ACA General Orientation, Cyber Alert: Be Smart. Be Safe. Be Cyber Ready!, ASCOT’s first-ever Cybersecurity Awareness Booth, the organization’s first Cybersecurity Month Webinar, and the CyberSmart Gift-Giving and Awareness Drive conducted in the geographically isolated community of Dilasag, Aurora.

Through these initiatives, ACA reached hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and community members, while strengthening partnerships with PICSPro, SOIT Extension, partner schools, and other student organizations. Its advocacy also continued online through educational cybersecurity content and Kwentuhang Cybersecurity, extending awareness beyond physical activities and into everyday digital spaces.
The organization’s work also extended to career development, with ACA members endorsed as OJT trainees in PICSPro Inc. and provided opportunities connected to cybersecurity professional development.

During the conference, ACA President Danica Jane B. Ramirez, together with Jake T. Arda, former Vice President and current Auditor, presented the organization’s Annual Accomplishment Report, documenting its programs, partnerships, outreach efforts, and initiatives throughout the year.

The organization also marked another milestone as it moved from being recognized as a PICSPro Junior Affiliate to PICSPro Junior, reflecting its continued organizational growth and commitment to cybersecurity advocacy.

More than a title, the Best Advocacy Organization Award represents the collective work of ACA’s officers, members, partners, and supporters who continue to turn cybersecurity awareness into meaningful action.

From educating students to reaching communities beyond ASCOT, ACA continues to advance its mission of building a safer and more responsible digital society.
