Student leaders from the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 - 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐔𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐉𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆), together with the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 1 (𝐂𝐀𝐓-1) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, 𝐁𝐨𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐁𝐒𝐏) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐆𝐒𝐏) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, joined student leaders from various schools at the 𝑫𝒐𝒏 𝑩𝒐𝒔𝒄𝒐 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 from 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟖 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, for the 1𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝑪𝑨𝑷 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒅𝒊𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒂𝒏 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, a four-day gathering aimed at strengthening faith, developing core leadership skills, and fostering inter-school unity.

Through guided recollections, team-building workshops, and moments of shared prayer, participants deepened their relationship with God while learning the value of humility and servant leadership. Stepping away from their usual routines refreshed their perspectives, leaving these young leaders equipped and inspired to serve their communities with faith at the core.

“𝙼𝚢 𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚙 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚜 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙻𝙾𝚁𝙳, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙼𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚏 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚑.” — 𝙿𝚜𝚊𝚕𝚖 𝟷𝟸𝟷:𝟸 (𝙽𝙸𝚅)

There are moments when the responsibilities before us seem greater than what we believe we can carry. We may feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to turn. Yet this verse reminds us that we were never meant to face every challenge through our own strength alone.

Our help comes from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth. His strength gives us courage when our own begins to fade, His presence gives us peace when circumstances become uncertain, and His guidance reminds us that we do not have to know every step ahead to continue moving forward.

As young students, it is easy to believe that being strong means having every answer, solving every problem, or carrying every responsibility without hesitation. But true strength also means recognizing when we need guidance and having the humility to place our trust in God.

Faith does not mean that every difficulty will immediately disappear. Rather, it gives us the assurance that even in moments of uncertainty, we have Someone greater than ourselves to depend on. When we allow God to guide our decisions, our struggles can become opportunities to grow in patience, courage, and trust.

Sometimes, the greatest step we can take is not knowing exactly where the path will lead, but choosing to walk forward with faith that God will provide the strength we need along the way.

𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔! May we continue to place our trust in the Lord, knowing that whatever challenges come our way, His guidance and strength will always be greater than our fears.

This September, the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞—𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐔𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐉𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆) stands in unity for 𝑺𝒖𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉. 🎗️❤️‍🩹

Adopting the theme, “𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒅𝒆,” and the call to action “𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏,” we recognize this month as a time to raise awareness, mitigate mental health stigma, and spark meaningful action towards 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Mental health struggles are 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 that deserve understanding, empathy, compassion, and open acknowledgement without fear of judgment.

Wisdom is more than possessing knowledge; it is knowing how to use what we have learned to choose what is right. In a world filled with countless voices and influences, true wisdom allows us to discern what is good, remain grounded in our values, and make choices that reflect the person we are called to become.

This verse reminds us that our lives can become a source of light for others. Like the brightness of the heavens, wisdom does not exist merely for our own benefit. It becomes meaningful when it helps illuminate the path of someone who may be uncertain, discouraged, or searching for the courage to do what is right.

To lead others toward righteousness does not always require a position, a title, or a crowd following behind us. Leadership can begin in the quietest moments: choosing honesty when it would be easier to remain silent, standing up for someone who is being overlooked, offering guidance instead of judgment, and encouraging others to make choices rooted in goodness.

Being a leader also means recognizing that our actions speak even when we say nothing. People may remember our words, but they often remember even more from the way we touch their hearts with genuine actions. Our influence can shape others in ways we may never fully realize.

Perhaps being a light does not mean being the brightest person in the room. Sometimes, it simply means being willing to shine when someone else cannot find their way.

Loving 𝓖𝓸𝓭 is more than simply knowing who He is or remembering Him in moments when we need help. It is choosing to place Him at the center of our lives, even when our days become busy, uncertain, or difficult. Faith is not meant to remain only in our prayers; it is something we are called to carry into the way we think, speak, choose, and treat the people around us.

To love 𝓖𝓸𝓭 with all our heart means giving Him our deepest desires, hopes, and struggles. There may be times when we do not understand why certain things happen or when the path ahead feels uncertain. Yet, loving God means continuing to trust Him even when we cannot see the whole picture.

To love Him with all our soul reminds us that our relationship with 𝓖𝓸𝓭 should not depend only on how we feel. Feelings can change, but faith invites us to remain rooted in Him. In moments of joy, we can thank Him. In moments of difficulty, we can seek Him. In moments of doubt, we can still choose to draw closer rather than turn away.

And to love Him with all our strength means allowing our faith to become visible through our actions. It can be found in choosing honesty when dishonesty seems easier, showing kindness when we are frustrated, serving others without expecting recognition, and doing what is right even when no one is watching. Our love for 𝓖𝓸𝓭 becomes meaningful when it influences the person we are becoming.

Sometimes, we may think that loving God requires extraordinary acts. But perhaps it begins with the ordinary moments we encounter every day. A sincere prayer before starting our day. A kind word to someone who needs encouragement. The courage to apologize when we are wrong. The patience to listen. The willingness to help. These small choices can become expressions of a heart that seeks to place 𝓖𝓸𝓭 first.

This week, may we ask ourselves not only, “Do I love 𝓖𝓸𝓭?” but also, “Can people see that love in the way I live?” May our faith shape our choices, strengthen us in difficult moments, and inspire us to become people who bring goodness wherever we go.

The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞–𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐔𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐉𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆) successfully held its 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 General Parliamentary Meeting, August 20, 2026. Student leaders convened for the meeting in order to coordinate plans and reach group decisions that will direct the SSLG's future projects and continued dedication to serving the Josenian community.

The discussions highlighted the SSLG’s readiness to take on future initiatives and responsibilities with purpose and unity. As the organization continues to move forward, its officers remain committed to fostering student engagement, initiating meaningful programs, and ensuring that every endeavor is carried out with dedication and a strong spirit of service.

Above all, the SSLG remains steadfast in putting the welfare, voice, and best interests of every Josenian at the heart of its service.

The program featured two sessions: 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐑𝐓𝐋𝐬) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐓 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧 convened for the morning session, which included guest speakers 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚 and 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳. While Mr. Pedrosa talked about self-awareness and the impact of one's actions as a leader, Mrs. Gonzalez addressed responsibility and discipline in building a positive school environment.

Following that, the afternoon session brought together 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, featuring 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚 as guest speakers. Mr. Reyes discussed responsibility and order during club sessions, while Mr. Pedrosa further emphasized self-awareness and the impact of one’s actions as a leader.

Throughout the program, student leaders were guided in strengthening their leadership abilities, gaining a better understanding of their roles, and recognizing the responsibility that comes with leading others. It served as a reminder that being a leader involves more than just holding a position, it is exhibited by self-awareness, accountability, discipline, and the capacity to set an example.

The Leadership Training Seminar therefore left a lasting impact on the student leaders, encouraging them to carry the lessons they learned into their daily responsibilities and future leadership experiences.

Not everyone we meet will be easy to understand. Some will speak in ways that hurt us. Some will disappoint us. Some will need more patience than we think we have, while others may be quietly carrying burdens we know nothing about. Yet, in the middle of all these imperfect encounters, 𝓖𝓸𝓭 asks us to remember something simple: every person is still worthy of grace.

Humility reminds us that we, too, have moments when we need to be understood. We have said things we did not mean, made mistakes we wish we could undo, and needed someone to look beyond our faults. Remembering this keeps our hearts from becoming too quick to judge others.

Gentleness teaches us to be careful with what we leave behind in someone’s heart. We may forget a harsh word moments after saying it, but the person who heard it may carry it much longer. A gentle response may seem small, yet it can become a quiet form of healing in a world where many people are already fighting battles unseen.

Patience, then, becomes an expression of love. It means giving people room to grow, to learn, to make mistakes, and to become better. It does not mean ignoring what is wrong; rather, it means choosing to respond with understanding instead of allowing frustration to decide how we treat someone.

And perhaps this is what it truly means to “bear with one another in love”: to stay compassionate even when understanding does not come easily. To forgive without keeping score. To choose grace when pride tells us otherwise. To remember that loving others is not only about how we treat those who are easy to love, but also how we treat those who challenge our hearts.

This week, may we become the kind of people who make others feel safe to be imperfect. May our presence bring peace rather than pressure, our words bring comfort rather than wounds, and our actions remind others that they are seen, valued, and loved.

In a world that often teaches us to hold tightly to what we have, 𝓖𝓸𝓭 calls us to live with open hands and generous hearts. True generosity is not measured by how much we give, but by the love and sincerity with which we give it. Even the smallest act of kindness can become a source of hope in someone else’s life.

Generosity begins when we recognize that the blessings we receive are not meant to end with us. Our time, talents, encouragement, and resources can become instruments through which 𝓖𝓸𝓭 reaches others.

The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞–𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐔𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐉𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆) successfully held its 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 General Parliamentary Meeting, August 7, 2026. Student leaders convened for the meeting in order to coordinate plans and reach group decisions that will direct the SSLG's future projects and continued dedication to serving the Josenian community.

Additionally, the meeting also marked a meaningful opportunity to extend a hearty welcome to the newly appointed 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 and newly elected 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟕 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 into the congress. The SSLG anticipates their new insights, involvement, and significant contributions to creating a more cohesive and responsive student government as they embark on their student leadership journey.
