Before we all start panicking about our China trips… 😂🇨🇳

If you’re genuinely going to China for a vacation, this update shouldn’t automatically scare you away.

I know anything with the words “stricter visa and immigration rules” sounds intimidating, especially when getting a China visa already requires quite a bit of preparation. 😭

But for regular tourists, the takeaway is pretty simple:
Apply honestly. Travel for the purpose you declared. And don’t fake anything.

Basically… if we said we’re going to China to eat Peking duck, shop, and take 500 photos…
let’s go eat Peking duck, shop, and take 500 photos. 😂🇨🇳

I used to see those super cheap China tour packages and think… HOW are they making money from this?! 😂🇨🇳

And after experiencing China both ways, I finally understand why tours can be such a good deal for SOME travelers — but also why I personally prefer doing everything myself.

Because when I travel, I’m willing to spend a little more if it means I get to choose exactly how I spend my time. Especially when it comes to FOOD. 😂

But I also know people who absolutely HATE planning trips. Give them a hotel, itinerary, bus and tour guide and they are HAPPY. And honestly? I get it.

So I don’t think the question is really “Which one is better?”

It’s “Which one is better for YOU?”
