i still remember my first free dive. fresh from a week of work, running on zero sleep, yet somehow i’ve never felt more awake. no regrets.

my day was so mundane

yey!! jaiy is finally hereee.

guimaaaras!! this became a whole day trip with carla, rovy, jaiy, mama joy, and mama bing.

had quite a bit of sleep during work (yes… during 😌), so i was surprisingly alive the whole day.

headed straight to the port around 9am. the boat was so small enough that you can really feel the waves but the ride was only around 5–10 minutes. didn’t even notice because i was busy on my phone hahaha.

first stop was the pitstop. finally tried the famous mango pizza and… it was actually good?? the mango coffee was interesting, not really my cup. but the inasal and mango pork adobo? chef’s kiss.

next was guisi lighthouse. loved the view so much. also learned about that branch they were selling with the cross naturally formed in the middle. not sure if it was a branch or a piece of a tree but basta that one HAHAHA.

the rain literally started when we entered the lighthouse and stopped when we left. thank you, Lord, for the timing. still got great photos though.

ended the day at alobijod beach. jaiy and i stayed on the net just enjoying the view while carla, rovy, and mama bing went for a swim. cold beer for mama joy, mama bing… and eventually me. rovy had cocktails. jaiy had a spanish latte. carla had nachos. very carla.

before heading back, our tricycle driver recommended a mango vendor. probably the best mango i’ve ever had. they were huge, heavy, and somehow tasted… fuller? i don’t know how to explain it. basta, guimaras mangoes are different.

then back to the port, back to iloilo.
