๐ First Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session of the Science Department

The Science Department successfully conducted its first LAC Session focused on the ILAW Lesson Plan FrameworkโIntentions, Learning Experiences, Assessment, and Ways Forwardโwith AI integration in lesson planning.
This session empowered teachers to design clear, competency-focused lessons while exploring how Artificial Intelligence can enhance instructional planning, creativity, efficiency, and learner engagement. Together, we continue to embrace innovative approaches that support quality science education and 21st-century teaching practices.

The Science Department conducted its First Department Meeting for School Year 2026โ2027 on June 10, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
During the meeting, the department discussed key plans and directions for the school year, including curriculum implementation, Learning Action Cell (LAC) sessions, YES-O programs, and other instructional and professional development initiatives. The session also focused on strengthening collaboration among Science teachers and aligning strategies to ensure effective and quality science instruction.
The meeting marked the beginning of a productive school year committed to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in Science education.

Today, the Department of Science and Technology โ Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) successfully conducted the data gathering activity for the iSTEP-UP (Inclusive Science and Technology Education Program for Uplifting Filipino Learners) Baseline Study among Grade 7 learners.
The activity aims to gather essential baseline data that will serve as the foundation for assessing and enhancing learners' performance, engagement, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Through this initiative, DOST-SEI continues its commitment to promoting inclusive and quality science education for Filipino learners.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the DOST-SEI team, school administrators, teachers, parents, and Grade 7 learners for their active participation and support in making this activity a success.
