Congratulations to the winners of SULรO 2026: Technology Pitching Competition, organized by the SLSU Innovation & Technology Support Services Office as part of SLSU's 2026 Science, Technology, and Innovation Week! The competition was held in partnership with SLSU RAISE, with the pitching session evaluated by members of the RAISE Southern Tagalog team, particularly Engr. Gee Jay Bartolome, Project Leader of RAISE Project 12, and Dr. Louie Villaverde, Center Head of BatStateU MRC-LIKHA FABLAB and a participant in last yearโs IP Expedite: Technology Pitching activity under the SOUTH Mentorship Series.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners for showcasing the ingenuity and innovation of SLSU! We look forward to seeing these promising technologies and innovators again at the 4th RAISE Southern Tagalog Summit this November, as part of STAARRDECโs Regional Research, Innovation, and Extension Week!

Are you handling your college or officeโs social media page? Do you find yourself creating reels, event highlights, promotional videos, or other digital content and wondering how you can make them more engaging, polished, and effective? Are you also looking for better ways to showcase your institutionโs programs, activities, research outputs, and AANR technologies to wider audiences? Then this session is for you!
The RAISE Knowledge Management (KM) Hub, in partnership with the CvSU Knowledge Management Center (KMC) invites you to KNOWLEDGE IN MOTION, a special session of the SOUTH Mentorship designed as a focused 2-hour lecture-training on video editing for social media communication and marketing. This seminar will feature an international videographer and experienced video editor based in New York, who will share practical insights and professional techniques for creating videos that capture attention, communicate messages clearly, and connect with audiences.
Participants will learn practical approaches to video editing, including creating stronger openings, improving pacing and storytelling, using text and captions effectively, and making institutional and promotional videos more engaging. The session will also explore how video can be used as a powerful tool for knowledge sharing and technology promotion, particularly in presenting AANR technologies, research innovations, products, services, and institutional accomplishments in ways that are accessible and appealing to social media audiences.
This will be conducted through a hybrid setup. where CvSU faculty and staff may join us in person at the ITSO Conference Room, Cavite State University, while faculty and staff from STAARRDEC Consortium Member Institutions (CMIs) may participate online via Zoom.

RAISE Southern Tagalog took part in RAISE Forward, held on August 11, 2026, at the DOST-PCAARRD EO Tan Hall in Los Baรฑos, Laguna, under the theme โPartnership and Collaboration in Action: Accelerating Research Results for Development.โ
Startups from the regionโs incubatees and technology pitchers participated in the 3rd Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest (AIPF), showcasing promising technologies and innovative solutions. The AIPF brought together researchers, technology developers, startups, industry partners, investors, and other innovation ecosystem stakeholders to connect promising technologies with potential users, investors, and collaborators.
The event featured innovative products and technologies from startups and academic institutions, providing opportunities to showcase research outputs, explore commercialization pathways, and foster partnerships that can bring technologies closer to the market and their intended users.
RAISE Southern Tagalog was also represented in several key activities:
๐น Dr. Almira G. Magcawas, STAARRDEC Director and Cavite State University Vice President for Business Affairs and Resource Generation, delivered a message of support for the Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest and the continuing efforts to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem.
๐น Mr. Rodel Papa, Assistant Program Leader and FPRDI IPTBM Project Leader, presented the regionโs Sustainability Planning outputs, highlighting strategies and future pathways for sustaining the program beyond Phase 2.
๐น Dr. Teddy F. Tepora, RAISE Southern Tagalog Program Leader, presented the Year 2 Semi-Annual Report during the Progress Review, highlighting the programโs accomplishments, developments, and continuing efforts to strengthen agri-aqua technology commercialization in the region.
Beyond the pitch fest, Southern Tagalog participants also took part in the technology exhibit, technology pitching, industry reverse pitching, Sustainability Planning Workshop, Fellowship Night, and Progress Reviewโcreating opportunities to strengthen partnerships, exchange insights, and chart the next steps for the regionโs innovation ecosystem.
From research to innovation, and from innovation to impact, RAISE Southern Tagalog continues to build partnerships that move agri-aqua technologies forward. ๐ฑ๐ค๐
