UPDATE: ADZU CONFIRMS 2 D*AD

Ateneo de Zamboanga University confirmed Tuesday that two students di*d in the sh**ting at its Junior High School campus.

The university said parents and guardians were contacted to pick up their children, while students who remained on campus were secured. Earlier reports of four de*ths and nine wounded have not been officially confirmed.

Four people, including two security guards and two high school students, were reportedly k**led in the shooting at de Zamboanga University Junior High School on Tuesday.

Nine students were also reportedly seriously wounded.

Initial reports identified the alleged sh**ter only by the surname Jalani, a male fourth-year high school student. The reports also said fi****ms, including a G***k 9 mm handg*n and an M16 rifle, were involved.

Authorities have yet to officially confirm the casualty figures and other details.

VP SARA DUTERTE FILES SECOND PERJURY COMPLAINT VS. MADRIAGA

Today, August 17, 2026, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte filed with the Office of the City Prosecutor of Taguig a second complaint for Perjury under Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code against Ramil L. Madriaga, in connection with his Supplemental Affidavit dated April 11, 2026.

The complaint, consisting of approximately 1,000 pages, thoroughly exposes Madriaga’s malicious and deliberate falsehoods with sworn testimonies of the Vice President herself and twelve (12) corroborating witnesses, government and other official documents and certifications, and contemporaneous messages, photographs, and public records.

This exhaustive effort was technically unnecessary given the absurd and unverifiable nature of Madriaga’s claims, and considering that the few “evidence” he supplied immediately and publicly collapsed under the slightest scrutiny. However, it had to be done to ensure that Madriaga is held accountable under the law, and to unmask the malicious, baseless, and desperate character of the impeachment effort against the Vice President and of those behind it.

NEWS UPDATE: Former DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan testified before the Sandiganbayan that then-Senate President Migz Zubiri was their contact regarding P24 billion in funds allegedly set aside by the DPWH for senators’ “leadership fund.”

Bonoan said each senator was allocated at least P500 million, while committee chairs received at least P1 billion. He claimed all senators availed of the funds.

Labing-apat na araw na ang impeachment trial, at hanggang ngayon, wala pa ring solidong ebidensya ang prosecution. Kaya naman may tanong na bumabangon — bakit ngayon pa lang muling pinag-uusapan ang lumang grave threats case laban kay VP Sara?

Kung malakas talaga ang kaso sa impeachment, hindi na kailangan ng backup plan, di ba? Pero kung nakikita nilang bumabagsak ang kanilang ebidensya, hindi kataka-taka na may ibang legal na landas silang pagtutuunan — basta't may paraan lang para siyang mahadlangan sa 2028.

Question lang natin: coincidence ba ito, o timing?

Dapat malinaw at patas ang proseso — hindi laro ng "kung sinong kaso ang pwedeng gamitin." Bantayan natin ito.
