They are standing in front of their students while fighting their own battles.

They are smiling despite the struggles they are facing.

They pour their love, passion, and care, even if sometimes they are also the ones who need it most.

For this National Teachers’ Month, may we show our love and appreciation to all our educators who have the superpower to provide knowledge and guidance. Their sacrifices may be invisible, but they surely have a lasting impact.

On August 14, 2026, the seminar “Documentation, Report Writing and Reflective Practice,” facilitated by Dr. Mary Grace M. Villaflores, provided participants with an opportunity to strengthen their competencies in professional documentation, report writing, and reflective practice.

The activity also coincided with the August birthday celebration of our PDLs and the donation of books, supporting continuous learning and personal development.

The initiative forms part of the department's commitment to education, capacity-building, and community extension, providing meaningful learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom.

BUILDING A RESEARCH CULTURE: AN IMRAD RESEARCH WRITING AND PUBLICATION WEBINAR SERIES

On August 15, 2026, the NU-CEAS Graduate Studies–Our Mother of Perpetual Succor Academy (OMPSA) Research Collaboration successfully launched the first webinar of its research webinar series, aimed at strengthening research capacity, engagement, and collaboration within the academic community.

The webinar featured two sessions:

“Why Produce Research: Understanding the Purpose, Value, and Impact of Research” by Dr. Leo S. Del Rosario, Dean, College of Education, Arts and Sciences

“How to Create a Good Research Title: From Research Problem to Research Title” by Dr. Mary Grace M. Villaflores, Director of Graduate Studies

The sessions highlighted research as more than an academic requirement emphasizing its role in knowledge generation, evidence-based practice, institutional development, and meaningful educational impact.

The first webinar provided a strong foundation for the succeeding sessions of the series, advancing the shared commitment of NU-CEAS GS and OMPSA to cultivate rigorous, relevant, ethical, and impactful research.

ADVISORY UPDATE:

Based on the recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), NU Manila classes will continue under Remote Synchronous Learning (RSL) tomorrow, August 10, 2026, due to inclement weather.

Please be advised that NU Manila offices are closed for onsite transactions but will continue to operate online.
