FEATI University at the 2026 Presidential Filipinnovation Awards National Competition!

The FEATI University delegation proudly participated in the two-day 2026 Presidential Filipinnovation Awards National Competition held on September 2–3, 2026.

Representing FEATI University were Engr. Virgilio A. Zacarias, Jr., Chair of the EE-ECE Department; Ms. Emily Dela Paz from the Tourism Department; Mr. Ralf Phillip Reyes, Railway Cluster Representative; and Ms. Althea Mae Tanghal, BS Tourism Management student.

The delegation witnessed inspiring innovations from across the country, featuring solutions in health, education, agriculture, energy, waste management, disaster preparedness, and other areas. The event provided an opportunity to engage with fellow innovators, explore new ideas, and appreciate the creativity and resourcefulness of Filipino communities.

The second day culminated in the National Awarding Ceremony, graced by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., Chairperson of the National Innovation Council, who emphasized that the true measure of innovation lies not only in recognition, but in its impact on people's lives and the opportunities it creates.

✨ The experience reinforced FEATI University's commitment to research, collaboration, innovation, and nation-building—empowering ideas that can create meaningful change for Filipino communities.

🚆 Welcome and Congratulations, Dr. Susan M. Gallardo!

The FEATI University Railway Program warmly welcomes and congratulates Dr. Susan M. Gallardo on her appointment as the 6th President of FEATI University!

A distinguished Chemical and Environmental Engineer, Dr. Gallardo holds degrees from University of Santo Tomas (UST), UP Diliman, and the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and completed her postdoctoral research as a Fulbright Fellow at the University of California, Riverside.

As the first woman engineer at Resins Inc. and later a University Fellow and administrator at De La Salle University, she has made significant contributions through her research, publications, mentorship, and leadership. Her work has been recognized through national awards and has contributed to community initiatives focused on water quality and sustainable development.

The FEATI University Railway Program looks forward to supporting her leadership and continuing our pursuit of excellence, innovation, and sustainable development in railway engineering education.

　🚇 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝘆𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 owns the railway assets and handles all aspects of its business in-house, including planning, design, construction, testing, operations, maintenance, and development.
To operate a railway, we first need rolling stock, structures and tracks. In addition, to run trains safely and at high frequency, electric power supply, signaling and communication facilities, and Control Center are needed. And to serve customers…, we will keep the knowledge flowing and continue sharing valuable insights.
