3. Jesus is one of the greatest Messengers of Allah.

Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) founded 𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 "𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵."

According to the Bible, 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 (𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 12:29) and said, "I can do nothing of myself" (John 5:30). He never said, "Build the Catholic Church" or "Worship me."

From the Islamic perspective, Jesus was a prophet sent to the Children of Israel—not the founder of Catholicism.

The Qur'an says:
"Indeed, 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗛𝗶𝗺. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵." — Qur'an 3:51

Attributing later church institutions, doctrines, or traditions directly to Jesus is a historical and theological claim that is debated. Muslims believe the true message of Jesus was pure monotheism (Tawḥīd): worship Allah alone.

𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗠

Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) is one of the greatest Prophets of Allah. Muslims believe in him, love him, and follow his true message: worship Allah alone.

1. Jesus called himself a Prophet.

2. The disciples called Jesus a Prophet.

3. The people of Jerusalem called Jesus a Prophet.

𝗤𝗨𝗥'𝗔𝗡 – 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗬

Surah Maryam (19:30)

Arabic:

قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا

Translation:

"He (Jesus) said: 'Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet.'" — Qur'an 19:30

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗤𝗨𝗥'𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦

• Jesus is the servant of Allah. (Qur'an 19:30)

• Jesus is a Prophet and Messenger. (Qur'an 3:49)

• Jesus was given the Injīl (Gospel). (Qur'an 5:46)

• Jesus performed miracles by Allah's permission. (Qur'an 5:110)

• Jesus called people to worship Allah alone. (Qur'an 3:51)

• Jesus is among the greatest Messengers of Allah. (Qur'an 2:136)

In Islam, Jesus (Isa in Arabic) is considered a great prophet and messenger of Allah. He was sent to the Children of Israel to confirm the teachings of the Torah and to bring the Gospel (Injil). Allah granted him prophethood and endowed him with many miraculous abilities, such as bringing the dead back to life, healing the blind from birth, and creating a bird from clay and giving it life—all by Allah’s permission.

In Islam, Jesus is regarded as a human being and a servant of Allah, never as God or the Son of God. His prophethood was centered around preaching monotheism and complete submission to Allah.

The Quran states:
"The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him."
— (Surah An-Nisa, 4:171)

Muslims believe that Jesus is not the final prophet; Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is considered the last and final prophet. Jesus will return to Earth before the Day of Judgment, but not with a new prophethood. Instead, he will fulfill his role as a follower of Muhammad’s (PBUH) teachings.

𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺:

You're ignoring the most important phrase in 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀: "𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵'𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻" (𝗯𝗶'𝗶𝗱𝗵𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵).

Qur'an 3:49 and 5:110 do 𝗻𝗼𝘁 say Jesus is a Creator like Allah. They say Jesus formed a bird from clay, and it became alive 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵'𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

If Jesus were a Creator like Allah, why would he need permission? The true Creator does not depend on anyone.

Moreover, the Arabic word "𝗮𝗸𝗵𝗹𝘂𝗾𝘂" can mean to shape, fashion, or form, not necessarily to create from nothing. The Qur'an consistently teaches that 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿:

"𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀." (𝗤𝘂𝗿'𝗮𝗻 39:62)

Therefore, these verses demonstrate a 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 , not that Jesus shares Allah's divine attribute of being the independent Creator.
