There is no listener more sincere, no comfort greater, and no place safer than turning to the One who knows every hidden burden before it's ever spoken.

Perhaps, we often forget because we get too deluded by this unending worldly chase, but 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨.

Yaa nafs, if you are indeed a believing slave of Allah, remind yourself that 𝙣𝙤 𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙚, 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙪𝙣𝙮𝙖 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡.

Allah said,
فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ ۗ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ
"Whoever is saved from the fire and 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐝, for the life of this world is nothing but a fleeting vanity." (Al-'Imran 3:185)

Do not let your or others' billions deceive you. Do not let your or others' following get in your head. Do not let your or others' profitable business defraud you. Do not let your or others' titles, careers, and recognitions fool you into thinking that loving this world is the recipe for success.

Again,
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ
"...the life of this world is 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲."

Never in the Qur'an did Allah say that the content of this world is a form of reward. Rather, it is always an adornment.

ٱلْمَالُ وَٱلْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًۭا
"Wealth and children are the 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, but the everlasting good deeds are far better with your Lord in reward and in hope." (Al-Kahf 18:46)

In fact, this exact situation wherein you forget because of the fitnah of this world has already been foretold.

Allah said,
أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ
"Competition for more ˹gains˺𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 ˹𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡˺, until you end up in your graves." (At-Takathur 102:1-2)

Thus, yaa nafs, always remind yourself of this. No matter how comfortable your life is right now or how inspiring it is to see the luxurious life of those who have forgotten Allah, remember, you are here as nothing but a passerby, a mere traveler, on your way to Allah Azzawajal.

If you truly dream of success, then aim to enter Paradise. Commit to your covenant with Allah Azzawajal.
