Transpinays embody an alternative to the traditional masculine militant image. We represent a form of militancy that is rooted in resilience and courage—a legacy carried forward from pioneers like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, whose revolutionary ethic ignited on June 28, 1969. We are the embodiment of the new woman and Filipina, echoing Lorena Barros’s anti-dictatorship heroism—at the core, we are Transpinays, first and foremost—a militant.

Militansya ng Manika is a choreography-based performance that highlights the brown transfeminist body over mere biological identity, positioning it as a site of power and a space for political action. The act of progressive, trans-ward movement—contrasting with linear, cis-normative paths—initially explores three distinct fields within their historical and contemporary contexts, along with the typical movements a transfeminine body often takes (i.e., Strut-Fashion; Prance-Pageant; and Stride-Ballroom). This serves as an invitation for diverse bodies to come together and amplify calls for resistance. It emphasizes transness as an ever-present force that surpasses boundaries, fostering a militancy rooted in social struggle that seeks inclusion beyond heterosexual norms—creating new pathways that deepen understanding of the complex relationship between militancy and the intricacies of identity.

Ilang tagpo mula sa nakaraang kaarawan ng Trans Midya at Dolls & Dedications, isang retrospektib sa proseso ng pagdidisenyo nina at .kid.

Sa usapin ng pagkilala sa katauhang trans, kanino ang mga matang tumitingin at para saan ang pagtakda kung nakikita ba o hindi? Bahagya lamang ito sa mga pagtatangkang palalimin ang antas ng diskurso sa pagtanaw gamit ang sining ng disenyo. Sa handog na ito pinipihit ang pagsulyap tungong pagtitig. Paninindigan sa kamulatan para sa tunay na karapatan.
