More than a celebration of identity and pride, this month serves as a vital reminder of the long road ahead toward true equality. Around the world and in our immediate communities, so many are still forced to fight for the dignity, safety, and opportunities that should be inherently theirs, solely because of their identity.

This Pride, we celebrate the real people who form the backbone of this communityโ€”the brave individuals and the true allies who stand firm even when the cameras are off.

Genuine solidarity cannot be superficial or selective; it is not about choosing who to support based on preference or convenience. It means celebrating every single member of the community, honoring their diverse lived experiences, and committing to the actual work of learning and unlearning.

Today and every day, we honor the courage of those who paved the way and the resilience of those who continue to fight. Together, let us move beyond passive tolerance, continuously educate ourselves on the struggles of the community, and cultivate spaces where no one has to hide who they are. Let us listen to the stories, amplify their voices, and fight alongside the community until equality and dignity are a reality for everyone, everywhere. ๐ŸŒˆโœŠ

Motherhood is not only defined by blood, but also by love, care, sacrifice, and the quiet strength of those who choose to nurture others every single day.

Today, we celebrate the mothers who gave birth, the women who love unconditionally, the fathers who became mothers, the lolas, titas, ate figures, guardians, and every person who stepped into the role of becoming someoneโ€™s comfort, protector, and home. ๐Ÿค

To the ones who stay up late to make sure their loved ones are okay, to those who silently sacrifice their own needs for others, and to every nurturing soul who continues to give warmth and guidance despite lifeโ€™s hardships โ€” your love never goes unnoticed.

Thank you for your patience, strength, gentle hearts, and unwavering support. The care you give creates safe spaces, inspires hope, and changes lives in ways words can never fully capture.

Ang Mas1D honors and celebrates all mothers and mother figures this Mother's Day. ๐ŸŒธ

What others once mistook for weakness was, in truth, a vulnerable part of me laid bare.
If I could turn back time, I would not choose to stand in this very place. Yet strength reveals itself in this: that I remain, that I endure, that I continue to fight. For helplessness has no dwelling in this worldโ€”it begins, instead, when we learn to listen, to understand, and to speak with kindness.

Many walk through the same storms, but youโ€”you made it here. And in that quiet, unwavering arrival, I see how strong you are, how deeply you have held on. You are not merely surviving; you are a light along someone elseโ€™s path, a quiet grace that lingers.

So keep shining, keep fighting, and keep strivingโ€”for you have come farther than you think, and you are already becoming all that you were meant to be.

DEFEND PRESS FREEDOM

In World Press Freedom, we recognize that a free and independent press is more than a principleโ€”it is a lifeline of truth in a world filled with misinformation and silence.

Journalists risk their safety, freedom, and even their lives to bring stories that matter into the light, holding power accountable. In every headline written and every story told, there is a commitment to serve the public with honesty and integrity.

Today is a reminder that press freedom must be protected, defended, and valued by everyone. Because when the press is free, people are informed, and when people are informed, democracy stands stronger.

We thank all the journalists who always stand for the truth, fight for what is right, and the never-ending seeking for reality. They are not just journalists, they are the voice of unheard. ๐Ÿ—ฃ

There are moments when the wind does not simply pass through youโ€”it lingers, as though it knows something you have long tried to forget. It brushes against your skin like an insistent reminder, carrying pieces of memories you did not ask to revisit.

I used to think the wind was just movement, figuratively and literally. But now, I feel how it speaksโ€”not in words, but in the way it bends the trees, threads itself through spaces, and pauses just long enough to make you notice. It tells stories without asking permission.

And sometimes, it tells too much.

How is it that the memories and feelings that once settled so deeply within meโ€”so certain I thought they would stayโ€”are remembered more completely by something as intangible as the wind? Apparently, it holds onto pieces of who I was in ways I no longer know how to.

The present dissolves, and I am somewhere else entirelyโ€”somewhere I have already left behind. The wind carries me there, carefully, until I realize I am no longer just remembering. I am reliving.

Not in the loud, reckless way people expect, but in something calmer and more certainโ€”like a statue that never needed to prove itself.

That is how I get lost.

Not in places, but in moments. In the way the air feels familiar, in how it wraps around me as it has done so before. I lose track of where I am because the wind insists on showing me where I have been. For a fleeting second, it feels almost comfortingโ€”like being held by something that understands every unspoken thing.

But comfort is fleeting.

The wind never stays. It moves, always, leaving me in the stillness that followsโ€”where the voices begin to fade, and I am left to gather myself again. To remember where I am. To remind myself that I am no longer there.
Still, I cannot help but wait for it.

For that muffled air, for that gentle pull that untwists me just enough to feel something real again. Even if it means losing myself, even if only for a moment, to the stories the wind chooses to tell.

I want to be someone lighter in a way I can no longer replicateโ€”someone who could walk through uncertainty without feeling like every step needed to be justified. Someone who believed, without overthinking, that things would eventually make sense. Someone who didnโ€™t have to try this hard to feel alive.

I try to remember when it started slippingโ€”again.

Was it the nights that grew longer, heavier than they used to be? Or the mornings that arrived too quickly, asking too much from a body that hadnโ€™t rested enough from existing? Somewhere in between, the spark dimmedโ€”not all at once, but slowly, almost mercifully, until I barely noticed it was gone.

And yet, the wind knows.

I stand in the same space, but I am not the same person. Maybe thatโ€™s what unsettles me the mostโ€”a gap I cannot quite close, no matter how much I try to trace my way back.

Not that Iโ€™ve changed, but that I canโ€™t name the exact moment I began drifting.

The truth is,
