An Encounter with God Will Change Your Life Forever
Acts 9:1–19

A genuine encounter with Jesus changes who we are, changes the direction of our lives, and gives us a mission to make Jesus known.

1. Who Was Saul Before He Encountered Jesus?

Saul was passionate and sincere—but his passion and sincerity were directed toward the wrong thing. He passionately persecuted Christians because he sincerely believed that what he was doing was right.

Hindi lahat ng passionate at sincere ay tama. Hindi rin lahat ng alam mong tama ay tama.

Maaari tayong maging passionate sa isang bagay, pero kung ang ginagawa natin ay hindi paghonor sa Diyos, doon ito nagiging MALI.

“Maaaring sa tingin mo ang daang tinatahak mo ay matuwid, ngunit kamatayan pala ang dulo nito.”

2. Jesus Encountered Saul—and Saul Was Never the Same

On his way to Damascus, Saul's journey was interrupted by Jesus. Hindi lang siya nagkaroon ng magandang experience.
He encountered Jesus and that encounter changed his life.

From persecutor to follower.
From opposing Jesus to surrendering to Jesus.
From his own purpose to God's purpose.

This is what a genuine encounter with Jesus does. An encounter with God leads us to a changed life through a surrendered life.

Ang encounter with God ay hindi lang tungkol sa Encounter Retreat.

Hindi dahil naka-attend tayo ng retreat, conference, worship night, o isang powerful service, ibig sabihin ay transformed na tayo.

The real encounter happens as we know Jesus, walk with Jesus, surrender to Jesus, and have a growing relationship with Jesus.

Kaya hindi dapat nagtatapos sa tanong na, “Na-encounter mo na ba si Jesus?” Kundi sa tanong na… “After encountering Jesus, are you becoming more like Him?”

3. Saul’s New Life Had a New Mission
After Saul encountered Jesus, his life was given a new direction and purpose. The same Saul who once persecuted Christians became Paul, a man who preached the Good News about Jesus Christ.

“Agad niyang ipinangaral sa mga sinagoga na si Hesus ang Anak ng Diyos.”
— Mga Gawa 9:20

His encounter with Jesus changed his life—and gave him a mission: to preach the Good News.

Hindi lang tayo binago ni Jesus para magkaroon ng magandang testimony kundi para ipahayag sa buong mundo ang tungkol kay Hesus

Kung tunay nating na-encounter si Jesus, ang pagbabago sa ating buhay ay hindi lang para sa atin, we are called to share the Gospel and tell others who Jesus is and what He has done.

And that is our mission too.

I actually don't know if I just need a time off, 8 hour of sleep, massage or just ice cream. I just don't know sometimes. 😂
