Every year, challenges, stories, and experiences unfold upon our school’s premises. The Rizalite Editorial Board embodies on being the torchbearers of truth—leaders that value 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 and 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 through journalism. Ensuring every story, every experience, and every article stand with 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮, 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝, and 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮.

We serve as the voices for every Rizalian—may the ink never run dry!

𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 | Meadow

Seven blades of grass would greet the morning light,
They swayed beneath the clouds from dawn until night,
But one day vanished from the calendar in sight,
And leaves began to droop before the coming night.

The flowers still would open underneath the sun,
The vines still climbed while every hour would run,
But petals curled before their blooming was done,
For one small day of stillness had been undone.
The meadow kept on stretching through the afternoon glow,
Though tired little stems began to bend low,
Their roots reached deep where quiet waters flow,
But without their day of rest, they weakened slow.
The calendar kept turning as the seasons passed by,
While yellow leaves grew heavier beneath the sky,
The grass no longer danced as freely when winds flew by,
And even flowers seemed too weary to reply.

Still, one empty square remained beneath the sun,
A silent mark of something taken, never done,
The meadow whispered softly when the daylight won—
“Even growing things need rest when the day is gone.”

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | 𝗔𝗙𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁

On August 27, 2026, Mr. Ezekiel John M. Recto, assistant principal and AFS hosting coordinator, sat down with Italian AFS student Luciasole Caproli for her community orientation and mid-term debriefing.

They reviewed AFS rules and regulations to support the success of Caproli's AFS stint at JRI-Orani, while also reflecting on her journey in the Philippines so far. She shared the warm reception of her host family, her favorite school subjects, and her particular love for adobo and "sopas."

Caproli, a Morrovalle native, arrived in the country on July 10 to immerse herself in the Filipino family and student life. She is the first exchange student that the school has welcomed through AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines' Hosting Program.

Today serves the heroes that brought us 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲, and 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺—tied to the late-August anniversary of the Cry of Pugad Lawin, which marked the beginning of the 1896 Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonial rule.
