One of the memorable takeaways from Ate Lara's message during our last SAM fellowship was this:

"𝑮𝒐𝒅'𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒊𝒙 𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑮𝒐𝒅. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍."

Going 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 starts with drawing closer to Him. We cannot genuinely love other people if our hearts are empty. But if we allow God to fill us first, we begin to see people through His eyes, serve with His heart, and love without expecting anything in return.

Like Jesus' command in 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝟏𝟐:𝟑𝟏, to love our neighbors isn't something we can fulfill by simply trying harder. It begins with God. As we experience His love, grace, and mercy, our hearts are transformed, enabling us to love others the way He loves us.

Thank you, Ate Lara, for this very timely reminder that loving others is not about striving harder — it's about staying closer to the One who loved us first.
