Healing in progress, one quiet sunrise at a time.

God has a beautiful way of healing us.
Sometimes He heals through answered prayers. Sometimes through quiet moments. And sometimes, He heals us through the people He lovingly placed in our lives.
Iâm grateful for my family, every laugh, every conversation, every shared meal, and every memory.
Healing is a journey, and Iâm thankful that I donât have to walk it alone. Forever grateful for God in allowing this trip to happen.

Recently, I learned something, something that was hard for me to accept.
I felt confused and, to be honest, angry. My first thought was, âWhy, Lord?â
I immediately acted out of rage. But a few days later, I wasnât satisfied. Instead, my emotions kept growing, and so did my questions.
Yesterday, I asked God for clarity. I begged Him to speak to me.
When I opened my Bible, I was led to 1 Chronicles 19.
At first, I didnât understand it (my Bible is in KJV), so I looked up the NIV version. The first few verses actually made me laugh out loud.
Then it hit me. This was me.
I had allowed my own assumptions, own answer to "Why, Lord?" and pride to shape my actions.
The truth is, I may never know the real reason behind why someone does something and itâs not my job to know. Iâm only responsible for MY actions and MY intentions.
Itâs so easy to create our own interpretations. One small thought turns into another until weâve built an entire story in our minds without even knowing whether any of it is true.
My biggest takeaways:
1. Be pure and genuine in your intentions, always.
2. Be careful whose advice you listen to. Not every voice leads to wisdom.
3. Pride can turn a small misunderstanding into a much bigger problem.
4. Courage isnât reacting out of emotion, itâs trusting God even when you donât have all the answers.
Iâm still learning this. But today, I choose to surrender my assumptions, guard my heart, and let God handle the things I donât understand.
This place was the highlight of last yearâs trip, and Iâm so grateful to experience it againâthis time with my family. â¤ď¸đŻđľ
Northern Kyoto is proof that Japan is so much more than the bustling streets of Shibuya, the iconic Glico Sign in Osaka, and Kyotoâs famous temples. A trip to Japan isnât truly complete without experiencing the breathtaking beauty of Amanohashidate and the charming fishing village of Ine Funaya. These hidden gems will leave you in awe. â¨đđŻđľ
There was a season when making ends meet was incredibly difficult for our family. Bills kept piling up, and we struggled to get by. After finishing his regular job, Papa would drive a tricycle to earn extra income. Mama sold anything she could online just to help provide for us.
Those days werenât easy, but they reminded us that difficult doesnât mean impossible.
By Godâs grace and provisionâthrough the health He gave us, the talents He entrusted to us, and the opportunities He openedâthis trip became possible.
If thereâs one thing I hope this vlog, and the ones to come, will leave with you, itâs this: never stop dreaming, never stop persevering, and never lose faith. God sees every sacrifice, every prayer, and every quiet act of faithfulness. In His perfect time, He makes all things beautiful.
Itâs been a while. đ
It took a trip to Japan to finally hit the upload button again. đŻđľâ¨

I was feeling frustrated because it seemed like my skin wasnât getting any better. Then I remembered the photos I had taken months ago. Looking back at them completely changed my perspective.
Instead of seeing how far I still have to go, I finally saw how far Iâve already come.
That realization didnât just change the way I see my skin, it reminded me of how I often approach life. I become frustrated because Iâm too focused on the distance between where I am and where I want to be, forgetting to acknowledge the progress Iâve already made.
Looking through those photos brought several lessons to light that I wanted to share.
Iâve tried countless skincare products throughout my life, most of them because a friend recommended them or because they had amazing reviews online. I kept believing that if a product worked for enough strangers, it would surely work for me too. Now Iâm left with a collection of half-empty tubes and bottles.
Ironically, some of those products actually did work. The problem wasnât the products, it was me. As soon as my skin started improving, I stopped using them, assuming the results would last on their own. A few months or sometimes a year later, I would find myself right back where I started.
Thatâs exactly what happened last year.
It began with just a few bumps, until they eventually spread across my entire face. My first instinct was to find a quick fix. I searched everywhere, watched countless videos, and bought product after product. None of them helped. In fact, most of them only made things worse.
Eventually, I remembered a prescription my dermatologist had given me years before. I dug up the old prescription and bought everything again, convinced it would work because it had worked before.
It didnât.
Things continued to get worse.
Feeling helpless, I finally went back to a dermatologist. After examining my skin, she prescribed an entirely new regimen. Some of the products were already sitting in my drawer from all my previous experimentation, while others were completely new. But what made the difference wasnât the individual productsâit was following the exact combination that was specifically prescribed for my skin.
Six months later, my skin is still far from perfect.
But it is undeniably healing.
Because Iâm naturally impatient, I still catch myself wanting to add whatever new miracle product a âTikTok doctorâ claims will erase acne or fade scars overnight. đ
But this journey has taught me something much deeper than skincare.
⢠Not everything that works for someone else will work for you.
We all carry different kinds of wounds, and different wounds require different treatments.
⢠Donât stop once you see results.
Healing isnât just about reaching your goal, itâs also about maintaining it. Stay faithful to the routine that got you there.
⢠There will always be another shiny new product.
There will always be another trend, another viral recommendation, another promise of faster results. You can spend your life chasing the next miracle, or you can stay committed to what youâve already proven works for you.
⢠Seeing a professional is actually cheaper.
âLet me just try this firstâ isnât always a harmless mindset. The money I spent experimenting with products I didnât need easily exceeded the cost of simply seeing a dermatologist. The right treatment comes from the right diagnosisânot from a viral video.
⢠Just because something worked before doesnât mean it will work again.
New wounds can look exactly like old wounds, but that doesnât mean theyâre the same. Donât self-diagnose. Donât self-medicate.
⢠Once youâve been given a treatment plan, trust it.
Donât interfere. Donât keep adding extra products. Donât keep experimenting. Sometimes healing requires doing less, trusting more, and learning to embrace the beauty of waiting.
If youâre in a season of healing, you probably know this isnât really just about skincare.
Sometimes our faces simply become mirrors of the way we approach life.
We compare instead of remembering. We rush instead of trusting. We chase quick fixes instead of staying faithful to what we know is working.
And sometimes, all it takes is looking back to realize that healing has been happening all along.
Iâve been asking myself lately why I follow God or if Iâm truly following Him at all.
In my prayers, I often ask for healing, victory, provision, breakthrough, and restoration. Time and time again, God has shown Himself faithful. He has proven to be the Healer, the Provider, and the gracious Father that many know Him to be.
But recently, I realized,
Even before the struggles Iâm facing today, and even before I existed, God had already given me the greatest gift He could ever give.
Of all the things I think I need in life, what I need most is a Savior.
I go to church. I pray. I read the Bible. Yet I know I am far from perfect. I need saving not only from the troubles around me, but most importantly from the battles within me. I need saving from my own thoughts, desires, pride, sin, and shame. I need God to save me from myself.
Before He became my Healer, Provider,
Way Maker, He became my Savior.
âFor the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.â â Luke 19:10
âFor it is by grace you have been saved, through faithâand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.â â Ephesians 2:8
Following God is not simply about receiving what He can do for me. Itâs about knowing Him for who He is. The Lord that Saves.
I always say that I trust God and His timing, and that I surrender everything to Him. Yet there are still moments when impatience creeps in and I look for answers right away. I want to know why, when, and howânow.
Trusting Godâs timing doesnât mean you never feel impatient. Even in Scripture, people who deeply trusted God still asked, âHow long, Lord?â They believed, but they also wrestled. They surrendered, but they still waited with tears.
One of the hardest prayers I have learned to pray is this:
âLord, if it is not Your timing, then donât change it."
The prayer comes from humility, I am not simply asking God to give me what I want. I am asking Him to protect me from receiving something before I am ready, before others are ready, or before His purpose is complete. It is choosing to trust that His wisdom is greater than my desires and that His timing is better than my urgency.
If thereâs one thing Iâve learned the hard way in this season, itâs the value of the things we often overlook while chasing so many others.
Itâs the morning you always expect to come, yet is never truly guaranteed. Itâs a simple breakfast shared with a loved one. Itâs the glass of water someone pours for you when youâre too busy tackle the dayâs first task. Itâs a weekend spent exploring beautiful places instead of focusing on house chores that will still be there when you get home.
Sometimes, in the pursuit of more, we miss opportunities to sit still, enjoy the present, and be grateful for the things we already have.
Life isnât always about whatâs next. Sometimes itâs about appreciating whatâs already here.
Recently, Iâve been dealing with my own thoughts and spiritual battles. By Godâs strength and grace, Iâve been able to work on both today.
If youâre in the process of healing and find yourself going back and forth with the same feelings, wanting to give up, or feeling like youâre back at square one thinking all the progress youâve made was for nothing and that youâre all alone, youâre not.
You can cry. You can shout. You can pour your heart out. But donât forget that you can also kneel.
God is with you through every setback, every tear, every question, and every step forward. Even when you canât see it, Heâs working.
Let's keep going đđŤ
