Overlaying up-to-date DPWH flood control infrastructure against Project NOAH’s 5-100-year flood scenarios reveals exactly where public policy meets real-world hazards.

Initiated by Jason Torres as part of the BetterGov.ph ecosystem, this project is completely free to access and open for anyone to contribute code. It bridges the gap between government expenditure and public safety, successfully delivering:

The Philippines is currently facing the fastest-growing HIV epidemic in the Asia Pacific region. Diagnoses have surged by over 50 percent in recent years, yet many young Filipinos are still met with paralyzing stigma and a profound lack of public awareness upon receiving their diagnosis.

Compounding this heavy emotional weight is a severe logistical struggle. When PLHIV finally gather the courage to seek medical help, they frequently encounter a Department of Health website that is broken, unorganized, and heavily outdated. This lack of reliable public infrastructure adds immense, unnecessary stress to individuals who are already fighting the hardest battles of their lives.

Where the system falls short, human compassion must step forward.

This critical need is exactly why HIV Care Philippines was created. We built this platform to embrace the patients that society has marginalized. By providing clear, accurate, and accessible information, we empower individuals to locate active treatment hubs quickly and safely.

Our mission is to send a powerful message: there is genuine hope, there is a supportive community, and there are highly effective pathways to management and healing.
