Meet a magician

Sohail Tusha is a folk musician from Aliabad, Hunza. He is known for playing the Xiginee, a traditional string instrument of Hunza, and for giving new life to folk melodies.

Sohail had the honor of being the first batch student of our late friend Zia Ul Karim at the LLMC. Trained in both classical and folk traditions, he blends the raw sound of the Xiginee with the stories, poetry, and Melodie’s of mountains.

He isn't only musician, he is inspiration for traditional folk musicians of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral.
