RDF, in collaboration with S&P Global, brought volunteers together in Murree for an avocado and apple tree plantation activity under the technical guidance of the Horticulture Research Station.
With 50–60 saplings planted, the initiative turned collective participation into meaningful climate action—nurturing greener communities and a more resilient future.

🤝 Food Security | Gohdo, Taxila
On September 13, 2026, RDF, in collaboration with S&P Global, engaged volunteers in a community food support initiative in Gohdo, Taxila.
Volunteers prepared and packed food packages at the RDF Centre, while 600 hot meals were served in Bajaar Village, supporting vulnerable households through coordinated community action.

Rural Development Foundation (RDF) hosted a thought-provoking dialogue on “Role of Youth Leadership for Sustainable Development Pakistan” under the SDG Youth Campaign Islamabad, bringing together distinguished leaders to discuss how youth can drive meaningful and lasting development.
The session featured Brig. Aslam Khan, President, RDF; Fatima Jee, Chairperson, One Step for Pakistan; Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri, Founding Director, IG-SI; and Helena Iqbal, Former Addl. IGP & Member, IG-SI.
A key focus was on impact studies and evidence-based case studies to capture learning, strengthen successful models, and scale solutions for wider and measurable impact.

🤝 RDF × Sahara Orphans Educational & Welfare Organization, Gilgit
The Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan (RDF) and Sahara Orphans Educational & Welfare Organization, Gilgit signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 2 September 2026 to strengthen institutional collaboration and explore joint initiatives for community development, education, and social welfare.
The MoU was signed by Brig. (R) Muhammad Aslam Khan, President, RDF, and Mr. Abdul Wahab, Vice Chairman, Sahara Orphans Educational & Welfare Organization, Gilgit.

A Courtesy Meeting at RDF

With years of field experience, Mr. Ali shared valuable insights to strengthen resilience, enhance preparedness, and inspire sustainable action for the future.

🌍 Driving Climate Action Through Collaboration!
The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), in collaboration with the Rural Development Foundation (RDF), organized an insightful meeting on Climate Change, Water Resources & Global Warming to promote dialogue on one of the most pressing challenges of our time. RCCI President Usman Shaukat, along with Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, chaired the session, while Vice President Fahad Barlas, executive committee members, and prominent stakeholders attended the event. Distinguished speakers included Brig. (R) Muhammad Aslam Khan, President RDF; Mr. M. Ibraheem, Director Projects RDF; Mr. Wasif Bashir, Senior Program Officer RDF; Ms. Aleeza Waheed, Program Officer RDF; Ms. Sara Mehmood, Manager WWF-Pakistan; and Mr. Talat Mehmood Awan, Chairman RCCI Standing Committee on Climate Change. The participants discussed climate resilience, sustainable water resource management, environmental conservation, and the vital role of the business community in supporting green initiatives. RCCI reaffirmed its commitment to fostering partnerships and promoting sustainable policies that contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more resilient Pakistan for future generations.
