The River Ravi Commission was constituted vide Order dated 8 June 2012 of the Green Bench of the Lahore High Court passed in Writ Petition No. 9137 of 2012 (The Public Interest Litigation Association of Pakistan vs. The Commission is Chaired by Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik and includes the important stakeholders in the waste-treatment sector of Lahore (Secretary, Irrigation; Secretary, Environment Protection Department; Advocate General Punjab; Commissioner, Lahore; MD WASA, Lahore; DG, WWF-Pakistan) environmental experts, economists and representatives of the petitioners.
