Rahim Yar Khan Nose-Cutting Case | Imran Khan Drug Allegations Denied
A shocking incident in Rahim Yar Khan has raised serious concerns as military sources reportedly deny claims regarding Imran Khan’s alleged drug use.

In Rahim Yar Khan’s Jamal Din Wali area, armed suspects allegedly attacked a man over his son’s love marriage and cut off his nose. According to the victim, the suspects entered his house, kidnapped him, took him to fields, tortured him and then fled after the attack. Police said a case has been registered, while raids are being conducted to arrest the nominated suspects. The incident is reportedly linked to an old dispute over the son’s choice marriage.

In another major political update, a senior member of the military establishment during the PTI government has reportedly rejected claims about Imran Khan’s alleged drug use and any warning issued to him. According to military sources, the establishment had no report or evidence confirming such allegations. The claims made in 2023 by Abdul Qadir Patel were also reportedly rejected in medical and NAB-related reports, while Imran Khan had also sent a legal notice over the accusations.

Alaska Charter Plane Crash Kills 8 | Pakistan Targets Illegal Call Centers
A charter plane crash in Alaska leaves eight people dead as Pakistan prepares a nationwide operation against illegal call centers and cyber fraud networks.

A charter plane traveling from Anchorage to Cape Newenham in the US state of Alaska crashed near the airport, killing all eight people on board. According to US aviation officials and local media reports, the aircraft was carrying two pilots and six passengers, and none of them survived the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed the casualties, while American aviation authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

In another major national update, Pakistan’s federal government has decided to launch a grand operation against illegal call centers across the country after reports of cyber fraud, extortion, blackmailing, gambling and online scams. A special task force under FIA Headquarters will lead the operation and submit daily reports to the Interior Ministry. Lists of illegal call centers in Karachi and other major cities have also been prepared. The decision comes after a recent operation in Islamabad where 284 foreign nationals were arrested from an alleged illegal call center.

Imran Khan PIMS Checkup | Israel Begins Controversial E1 Settlement Plan
Imran Khan undergoes medical examination at PIMS Hospital as Israel begins work on the controversial E1 settlement plan despite global opposition.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has confirmed that PTI founder Imran Khan was taken to PIMS Hospital during the night between August 20 and 21 for a medical examination under strict security arrangements. According to the minister, the decision was made due to security concerns, and a team of specialist doctors, including eye, heart and general physicians, examined him. Doctors from Shifa Hospital and Imran Khan’s sister Uzma Khan were also present during the medical process. After the checkup, doctors reportedly declared him healthy, and he was shifted back to Adiala Jail around 5am.

In another major international update, Israel has started work on the controversial E1 settlement project in occupied Jerusalem despite strong global opposition. The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Canada issued a joint statement calling the construction tenders unacceptable. European countries warned that the project could seriously damage the possibility of a two-state solution. The United Kingdom also summoned the Israeli charge d’affaires and registered strong protest over illegal settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.

Asim Munir on Balochistan | USS George Washington Moves to Middle East
Field Marshal Asim Munir says Balochistan and Pakistan share one future as the US deploys aircraft carrier USS George Washington in the Middle East.

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met important political and social figures from Balochistan and said that the present and future of Pakistan and Balochistan are one and will always remain one. According to ISPR, the Field Marshal said Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan are foreign-backed proxies working to stop Balochistan’s progress. He stressed that enemy propaganda and false narratives will be exposed, and all malicious designs against the state will be defeated.

In another major international update, US Central Command has confirmed that aircraft carrier USS George Washington has taken position in the Middle East. The carrier has replaced USS Abraham Lincoln, which had been deployed in the region for the past nine months. Reports had earlier raised concerns regarding crew mental health and lack of facilities on the Abraham Lincoln. CENTCOM chief Admiral Brad Cooper said the challenges faced by the crew have been addressed, while the new carrier will now continue its mission in the region.

A mother and newborn reportedly die at JPMC Karachi as heavy rain raises the water level in Nullah Lai.

A tragic incident has been reported from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi, where a pregnant woman and her newborn allegedly died due to medical negligence. According to sources, the woman was reportedly shifted to the gastro ward after ICU and gynecology ward beds were not provided. The hospital administration has formed an inquiry committee, while Acting Executive Director Dr. Salman said strict action will be taken if negligence is proven.

In another major weather update, heavy rain in Rawalpindi and Islamabad has increased the water level in Nullah Lai. According to WASA officials, the water level reached 11 feet at Katarian and 6 feet at Gawalmandi. A rain emergency has been imposed in Rawalpindi, with heavy machinery and additional staff deployed in low-lying areas. The district administration has issued a pre-alert and advised residents near Nullah Lai to remain cautious.

PTI founder Imran Khan has reportedly been shifted from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital under strict security.

PTI founder Imran Khan was transferred from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad under tight security arrangements. According to sources, police took him from Gate No. 1 of Adiala Jail and moved him to the hospital in a full security cordon. Special security measures were put in place during the hospital transfer.

In another related update, Rana Sanaullah confirmed that the government has refiled its review petition against the decision regarding Imran Khan’s hospital transfer. Speaking to the media at Parliament House, he said the government is bound by the Constitution and law, and the court’s decision will clarify the situation. He added that the decision on the review petition is expected today or tomorrow, after which the government will decide its next course of action.
