Mental Health Awareness Session at Wilderness School

Prof. Dr. Ghulam Rasool, renowned psychiatrist, conducted an insightful Mental Health Awareness Session at Wilderness School, focusing on children’s mental health and the challenges faced by today’s youth.

The session covered screen time and social media, peer pressure, academic and parental expectations, and the impact of home and school environments on children’s progress. He also emphasized that seeking professional mental-health support is not limited to severe mental illness; young people can benefit from professional guidance when dealing with stress, anxiety, pressure, and emotional challenges.

Following the session, Dr. Ghulam Rasool also provided individual counselling to students who required personal support and guidance

Inception Meeting for the Development of National Mental Health Policy (2027-2036).

The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Minister of State for NHSR&C and convened by the Deputy Director NHSR&C

The meeting had participation from the WHO, UNICEF, Provincial Health Departments, Pakistan Psychiatric Society, Eminent Psychiatrists & Psychologists from all regions of the country along with NGOs working for mental health and human
Policy views & commitment was expressed by Prof Mowadat Hussain Rana, Prof Waqar Azeem, Prof Ghulam Rasool, Prof Wajid Ali Akhunzada, Prof Wahab Yousafzai, Prof Mukhtar Ul Haq Azeemi, Prof Ali Madeeh Hashmi, Prof Hazrat Ali, Prof Ali M***i, Prof Imran Khan, Prof Asif Kamal, Prof Firaz Khan, Prof Abid Malik and Prof Jawed Dars
Dr Usman Hamdani meticulously facilitated the whole meeting.

As Member of the Board of Directors PPHI-B witnessed the eve of MoU Signing Ceremony between the PPHI-B and MNCH Program Balochistan at the head office PPHI-B Quetta at 6th August 2026. This strategic partnership between the MNCH Program and PPHI Balochistan will expand access to quality maternal and newborn healthcare services through the deployment of Community Midwives at selected BHUs, across the province.

MD Psychiatry PGMI Clinical Exam Held at Balochistan Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences - BIPBS

Today, the MD Psychiatry Clinical Examination was successfully conducted at the BIPBS Academic Hall.

The panel of examiners included:
