I'm Mrs. Doris. For thirty-five years I stood behind a school lunch line in southern Ohio and fed four hundred kids a day on a dollar and five cents a tray.

The shoe factory closed, the steel mill closed, and my lunch count went up - my budget never did.

LMAO. Someone tried to scam my grandma with the whole “your grandson is in trouble” trick. They called saying I had been in an accident and urgently needed money. The best part is, she really thought she was talking to me… and without even hesitating, she said she didn’t give a s**t, that I should figure it out myself and if I have to sit in jail, then so be it

My kid got invited to a birthday party. The problem is, I absolutely can’t stand that kid’s mom. So instead of a normal gift, I bought a musical instrument set - drums, a flute, a harmonica, basically everything loudest possible. I wrapped it beautifully, handed it over with a smile… and went home with a weird sense of satisfaction. See you in hell, Karen 🤣🤣🤣

Listen, the most embarrassing thing happened today.
My boyfriend Mike invited me over to his house today.
I walk into the entryway and accidentally farted.
Embarrassed, I looked up at the ceiling and said, “What a beautiful chandelier.”
And he goes, “Wait till you get to the living room, you’re gonna s**t yourself.”
I turned red as a tomato.

My friend found a listing on Facebook Marketplace with his own bike in it… except nobody had stolen it yet. Turns out someone takes a picture, posts the item for sale, and only steals it once they find a buyer. So basically zero risk, no storage, everything made to order. Seriously, it was the first time I had seen “theft on demand” and it kind of scared me how thought-out it was.

We’re having our bathroom finished right now. We agreed on $12,000 and a 4 week timeline. They finished faster, in 3 weeks, everything looks good, and there are no fixes needed. And now my wife says we should pay them $9,000 because they worked for less time. I see it completely differently - to me, what matters is the result and the fact that they did what we agreed on, even faster. And now I don’t know if I’m overreacting or if this would be a really s**tty move on our part. What would you do in my place?

Today I was teaching my 3 month old daughter to say “dada.” My husband asked why not “mama,” and I told him I wanted “dada” to be her first word. He got so emotional, he almost teared up… but the truth is, I just want her to call for him instead of me when she starts needing something in the middle of the night 😈

Hey. I just spent the whole night convinced my brand new laptop was broken... I thought my MacBook Air was dying. It was typing random text by itself, changing the caps lock light, and just acting weird in general. I was reading through console logs, restarted it in safe mode, and ran hardware diagnostics. Turns out my cat was sitting on the wireless keyboard in the other room.

My girlfriend is mad at me. We want to start saving for a house. I make around $12,000 a month, she makes around $4,000. I suggested that we both save the same amount - I put in $2,000 and she puts in $2,000, because to me that felt the most fair. But she doesn’t agree. She says that since I make way more money, it should look different: I put in $4,000 and she puts in $500. She says that would be “more fair.” I don’t really see it that way. Who is right?

Girls, I don’t know what to think. I met a guy who makes really good money, around $25,000 a month. He has his life together, he’s smart, hardworking… but I feel like he is extremely cheap. He is over 30, drives a car worth maybe $5,000 and doesn’t want to change it because “it still runs, so why would I.” It’s hard to convince him to go on any trips because he thinks it’s a waste of money. He recently bought a house and says he wants to pay it off as fast as possible, so he cuts costs wherever he can. He even wears worn-out clothes because “they’re still fine.” On one hand, he really is a good guy, but on the other hand I’m scared we won’t be compatible because of his approach to money. Has any of you been in a situation like this? How do I get through to him?

I’m 37 years old. My partner is a doctor, he makes good money, has his life together, and is surrounded by people who have reached a similar level. I come from a poor family, I don’t have a college degree, and I work for minimum wage. I live with him, and even though everything between us is okay, I’m having a harder and harder time dealing with how people around him see me. His friends and family have never said anything directly to me, but I can feel the judgment in their looks, that quiet “what is she doing here.” The worst was at one party when someone joked that I “landed well.” Everyone smiled, and I smiled too, even though inside I wanted to disappear. He supports me and has never made me feel like I’m less than him, but the difference between us and the way other people see me is starting to overwhelm me. Sometimes I feel like what hurts the most isn’t even what they say, but the fact that I’m starting to believe it myself.
